Cold.
Theres that feeling again.
It overwhelms me.
But at the max of the cold, i feel warm.

This type of cold is something I've never felt before.

Its almost comforting...

~

My eyes shot open.

"JAKE"

I screamed.

"JAKE"

I screamed again.

"SOMEONE HELP WHERE AM I WHATS GOING ON WHERES JAKE!"

I kept yelling but no one was helping me, no one was answering me, and i dont know were i am.

I take a minuet to calm down, and take in my surroundings.

Im in a very small room.
Its all white.
Im hooked up to some machine that keeps beeping.
I must be in a hospital.

But why?

How?

Oh shit.

The baby!

I look down at stomach and i dont see my baby bump there anymore. I start to panic as i reach for my hospital gown and lift it up to my stomach. Theres a large bandage over my stomach. Did they cut my baby out? But how? Wouldn't i have felt it? Wouldn't i have woke up? Wouldn't someone have woke me up? Wouldn't Jake have woke me up?

Oh my god.

Wheres Jake!?!

I frantically looked around for one of those buttons you press and the nurses come in. As i searched my bed sheets i found a red button sticking out of the side of my hospital bed.

"Here goes nothing"
I thought to myself.

As i pressed the button, an alarm came on and red lights started to flash and fill my room. Nurses came running in, in a panic matter.

"Doctor wheres the doctor someone get the doctor!"
On of the nurses screamed.

An old nurse emerged from the crowd with a calm expression on her face. She walked over to the visitors chair in the corner of the room and stood on it. She then placed her fingers in her mouth and whistled an ear piercing whistle.

"Quite down, its a false alarm, everyone go back to your stations."
The old nurse said in a drill Sargent tone.

Nurses then took a sigh of relief and left my room.

She then got off the chair and walked over to me.

"So you must be the famous Kyla."
She told more so than asked me.

"Yes," i replied, "sorry for causing all that commotion i was just trying to get a nurse in here."

"Well you got what you were looking for now did you." She replied quite harshly, "Go ahead speak up what do you want.?"

"I need to see Jake."

And with those words she got up and left. I sat there dumbfounded, is she getting Jake or did she just get up and leave?

And where is my baby?

At that moment the hospital room door came bursting open, and a very frightened Jake came into the room.

"KYLA!"
Jake yelled for me as if this wasn't real.

"Hey Jak"

I was cut off by his strong embrace.

"On god Kyla i was so worried about you. I thought you would never wake up."

"Well i- wait did you say never wake up? How long have i been out?"

"Well after you passed out on the road from your contractions i had to carry you for miles, until a car stopped, and took us to the nearest hospital. After about 30 minuets your breathing was getting really slow, we reaches the hospital, and they took you into a emergence labor room. You weren't waking up so they did a c- section, because the baby was ready to come out now, and it would suffocate if they didn't do it.
After your c- section the doctor came out and told me you were in a coma. Kyla you've been out for 3 weeks."

"3 WEEKS!"

Jake nodded in response.

"Jake the baby, wheres my baby!"

"Calm down Kyla shes okay. Lets just wait for the docto-"

"JAKE GO GET MY BABY"

Jake immediately got up and rushed out the hospital room door.

I felt bad for yelling at him, i just wanted to see my baby. Ive been out for 3 week dam it. It my child and i want to see her now.

Does it have a name. Is it a boy? A girl? Will it even know I'm its mom?

All these questions kept popping into my mind, until about 5 minuets later, Jake walked in carrying something wrapped in a pink blanket. Jake set my baby down in my arms and stood back.

I stared at her in awe. She looked like the perfect mix between me, and Jake.

"Does she have a name?"
I asked Jake.

"Yeah"

I was actually kinda mad. How could he name my own child without me. But then again i was in a coma. But still how dare h-

"Her name is Lilly."

All my previous thoughts of anger were gone just like a flash of lightning.

Lilly.

In honor of my sister Lilly. She will live out the life Lilly never got to finish. And she will have the life Lilly never got to have.

I then looked down at my baby and spoke.

"You got some big shoes to fill baby."
