Somewhere far off into the sea, there's this large house. It's been there for years but it's only a legend, as there have only been sightings and nobody's ever been able to get close to it. The house sinks into the ocean whenever that happens. But, little did the outside people know, that that was a magic house!" Bonnie grinned, "And, Higara, do you know who lives in the magical house?"
Higara nodded, "We do!" she replied. When Bonnie nodded Higara grinned. Unlike all of her other siblings, Bonnie was the only one who treated Higara like she was one of them. Everyone in the family had a tail, or ears, or both. Everyone, that is, except for Higara. Everyone in the family could use magic like it was as easy as breathing. Except Higara. She had a hard time with magic and couldn't really do anything with it.
"Hey, Higara." A familiar voice made her sigh. "Higaraaa...Don't be so mean..." Karina whined. Karina was Higara's older sister who complained a lot and always needed help with things.
Higara turned to look at her older sister, "Umiki's in mom's room and you're ribbons are still on the porch." She put her hands behind her head. "And if you're going to look for Giroka...Um...She said she was going to land to get some things." Higara said. Karina nodded, her floppy rabbit ears bouncing as she did.
"Thanks, Hi-hi!" Karina giggled and ran off before Higara could tell her not to call her Hi-hi. She hated that nickname and Karina knew that. She only called Higara Hi-hi to spite her.
Letting it go for the time being, Higara decided to see what everyone else was doing and walked around the house. Juik, her older brother, was in the family room on his laptop, his wolf-ish ears twitched when she walked in. She knew that he wouldn't speak to her if she tried to talk to him, he never did. He'd only look at her and then go back to whatever he was working on. Knowing this, Higara decided to see what Rinoa was doing. Aside from Frimi, Juik and Berri, Rinoa was the only one who had both ears and a tail. She also always had some kind of new game. This time however, Rinoa turned Higara away with a "I'm sorry, I've got work to do."
"Ok." Higara nodded and continued to walk around the house. Peach and Cura were sleeping, their siamese cat ears twitching every now and then. Frimi was working on one of his stories. When he thought up some good character names his Fox tail would poof up and wag to and fro excitedly. Berri was eating and never did anything with Higara anyways.
"Yes! Aha! It's done!" Voran, her oldest brother, yelled. She didn't even want to know what weird thing Voran was working, when she passed his room she heard something that sounded like a chain saw and an explosion. Higara quickened her pace, if Voran saw her, he'd insist on her testing out his weird whatever he made. She continued to walk around, Miki was napping, Xik was too, Lilian was working on her puzzle and Yu was watching. Neither of them wanted to play with her when she asked.
"Nobody ever want's to do anything." Higara pouted. Seeing nobody would play with her, Higara decided to sit outside the house and watch as dolphins jumped out of the water. "I wish there was some body who'd actually do something with me..." She said and put her knees up to her chin. It was only a couple of minutes before Higara fell asleep. She woke up hours later when the sun was setting. The feeling of water around her is what woke her up though. Karina probably pushed her into the water again. Higara turned around to tell Karina that it wasn't funny but froze. The house wasn't behind her. all she saw was land. Lots and lots and lots of land.
