Every day seems to pass swiftly with a blink of an eye. Not only am I a women who does not know the feeling of happiness, neither joy. I wait patiently to finally find a reason to live, to further roam this earth that is not made for me. How am I to live without a purpose or calling...
"Today class we will take a look at Greek mythology. Let us recognize the God of the Underworld. With his dark smile, deep eyes and cloak of darkness that makes him invisible to others." I say walking across my 11th grade classroom.
"A throne made of bones. Many feel that Hades is the embodiment of death. But I'd say he was dealt a short hand. Do you think he may have volunteered or been given this job, class?
I glanced around the room looking at the unsure faces of my students. One hesitant hand raised.
"Yes, Alexton..." What a sweet boy he is. He's doubtfully one of my best students. Has this certain aura of innocence that I cant ignore. It is almost addictively tasty.
"I believe-"I interrupted him.
"Beliefs get us no where Alexton , what do you know?"
"I know-w , I know that he does not want the life of a king that has to rule the underworld. He was definitely dealt a bad hand , no one wants to be frowned upon or looked at different because of a service they did not ask for. No one wants to be hated." he ended.
"I agree Alexton no wants to be the symbol of darkness but it seems Hades has no choice but to accept it." I commented. "Class I want you to give me a paragraph on what Greek god or goddess you like the most, with of course an explanation. That's it for today."
The bell rang. The students rushed up getting their items together to get to their final destinations since classes are over today.
Alexton Anastos is always the last student to leave my class. He's a charming kid with blond hair and titanium eyes. He has a quiet demeanor.
While sitting at my desk looking through paper I call him over.
"Alexton is there a reason why you don't speak up much in class?" Not looking at him I can see him fidget.
"I can answer more questions if-"
"I don't think you understand my question Alexton." I stated looking up at him. "You do realize that you have a strong aura. Your presence in the class overwhelms the other students but from the way you act it doesn't match up. So instead of you having the same assignment of the other student I want you to tell me if you think my theory is true. You think you could do that Mr. Anastos."
"Yes- yes ma'am." I nodded.
"Good now go home you have homework due and I'm expecting something great from you." He nodded his head and proceeded out the door.
"What an interesting kid." I finished looking through all of my recent assignments making finals marks in order to put the kids grades in.
Oddly enough I never felt the energy of the sun but rather the moonlights illuminating haze. Unlike most women of my color they feel their melanin pops in the sunlight but my glows at midnight. The darkness speaks to be peacefully, dreams of darkness never ending darkness that put me to rest .
Growing up the term "friends" was not in my vocabulary at all. Often believed it was not meant for me to have someone to care for or even care for me maybe its my punishment for life. I never had the opportunity to meet my parents. I was rumored that they died and left me on this earth alone. My birth certificate was never found or even on record. There was no proof of my birth or citizenship. I guess I was a living mystery and even at twenty three I still am.
"Who am I?"
Pulled up to this wonderful café that has the best coffee and aura. I've been coming to this café since I was a junior in high school and even worked as a cashier through college. Beverly is the manager and she is great and always looked after me. She helped me with prom and graduation since growing up in a foster home doesn't entitle great help.
"Hayden missing a dinner is never a great way to say your busy, missy." Beverly mentioned while wiping off a table.
"Well Bev trying to set up a secret blind date is never nice either." I replied with a sly smile. Bev always has these secret plans of getting me hitched but they never are the right picks for me. Honestly the guys she picks are perfect packages but something it side of me doesn't spark for me.
"How else am I going to get grandchild Hayden , I'm not getting any younger. I would like to make sweets for the babies." Bev complained.
"I have no idea because I don't think any kids are coming out of me anytime soon." I replied sitting at the bar area. "Can I get my regular." I pull out a book and begin reading as I wait. I can hear the conversations of everyone going on around me but chose to lower them to low murmurs. Then the bell rings signaling the entrance of a customer. My body forms goose bums upon the arrival of a new customer. The café go deathly quiet which sparks my curiosity.
I turn my head and meet dark eyes.
"mmm" I hum. He's....beautiful. Granted I will never be able to see who he was before the tattoos and markings that litter his body but he's still enticing. Feeling as if some hidden darkness has been woken within me with a spark of light.
We meet eyes for a brief moment before I turn back to my novel.
"What a interesting novel." A deep sexy voice mentions.
"Well there is nothing like a killer novel don't you think?" I questioned turning my head in his direction. He smirks.
"If deadly and sinister is what you favor , then I guess so". I nodded my head giving him a sly smile.
"Andreas and your name beautiful?"
