Nightmares

Peyton's POV

I don't know why but I just can't sleep, it's 2 AM but I just can't sleep I turn on my lamp and sit up a little, I look over at Chloe who's fast asleep on the air mattress a few feet away from me

At least she was, she started stirring and I could hear her mumbling in her sleep

"No, no, please daddy, don't go" she mumbled in a small voice much like a young child's

I turn over and try to sleep but her mumblings kept getting louder and I knew what it was, the same thing that had been happening since she lost her dad

I got up and knelt down beside the air bed

"Chloe, Chlo wake up!" I spoke as gently as I could and yet still waking her up, I shook her a little as I spoke but that left me with no response so I shook her a little harder and she suddenly flew bolt upright

"Huh, what?!" She almost screamed

"Chlo it's okay hat was just a bad dream" I tell her as she breathes rapidly and heavily

"W...what?" She stutters in confusion

"It wasn't real" I tell her gently as I pull her into a hug

"I...it's was so real" she stammers

"Your dad again?" I ask implying she was dreaming about her late father

"Yeah" she replies sadly

"I'm sorry" I tell her

"Moms threatening to move us for senior year" she tells me and I let go of her in shock

"W....what?!" I question nervously, I can't lose her she's my best friend

"You know what she's like, she hates this town now and she the bank is opening a new branch in Wisconsin this summer" she tells me and I just listen in shock

"You can't leave!"

"Apparently if I can't give her a decent reason to stay then we leave second week of summer" she tells me sadly

"We'll figure something out" I promise her but she shakes her head

"I don't think we can this time" she tells me and I sigh

"It'll be okay" I tell her

"Here's hoping" she replies
