She loved to dance but the man above never picked her up. All she could do was lay and wait for the man to find her. The last man loved her and with him, she saw the crowds all the time. The last man grew old and now she lays hidden underneath the floorboards. The same place she has been since the last man placed her there and left. The last man placed her there so she would not be stolen. She did not know where the last man went but he never came back, and now a new man conducts the show. The new man has not found her and she has begun to wonder if he ever will. She hated the cold and the floorboards were terribly drafty. She was unable to move without a man on the other end of the strings to direct her movements. She was forever lost and stuck under the stage wishing for a day when she would be free from her strings.
