"You know, you don't have to be such an asshole to me," Lucas snorted, as they looked back at each other.

"I have every right to be an asshole," Maya snapped back at him, "So why don't you quit saying shit to me that'll just provoke me even more?"

Lucas sighed, "You're difficult. I've forgotten that over the past year."

Maya ignored him, as she crossed her arms over her chest and waited patiently for her food to arrive. Why did she have to forget her phone?

Lucas looked at the blonde, who had a cold look on her face. He didn't say a word, but he simply just glanced at her.

It seemed crazy to be in her presence once again. Lucas had never thought that they would ever cross paths again and now, here they were.

He thought about Maya's question as to why she was here with him, but to that, he had no answer. He really had no clue, but he just thought of it as an attempt to get her to sleep with him.

Fallon was too emotionally attached for him. He wanted something rough and he was pretty sure the blonde had enough rage for that.

All he really needed was a good fuck. Farkle got a baby and Lucas got to see his ex, so it only made sense to him that he got his mind off things with a good fuck.

Maybe buying Maya lunch would lighten the mood and he could seduce her into his bed. After all, even after all this time, he still remembered how good she was in bed.

Maybe he just wasn't saying the right things.

"Why are you ogling me?" Maya snarled, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Lucas felt his mind go blank for a second, before he responded, "I was dozing off. God, shut up."

Yeah, that was definitely right.

"Dozing off, huh?" Maya snickered, before taking a sip of her water, "I guess the one thing that hasn't changed is how stupid you are."

Lucas glared at her, dismissing her insult. Yeah, he probably wasn't going to sleep with her tonight.

"So, when's his exact birthday?" Farkle asked, as he watched Riley set Nathan down on the carpet in the living room.

She knelt down next to her son, as he sat up against her leg, "June 17".

For the past 30 minutes, Farkle had been asking Riley questions about Nathan and she had responded with simple phrases or one worded answers.

The whole environment was awkward, but neither of them acknowledged it.

Riley was just waiting for Maya to get back. She was the one who brought the apartment keys out and Riley didn't feel like wandering around Manhattan to wait for the blonde.

She wanted to go home and get the day over with. She didn't care if she had to force Maya to take care of Nathan for 12 hours. She was gonna sleep for 12 damn hours if possible.

"So, he turns 4 months old in just 2 days, huh," Farkle chuckled, as he looked at his son.

Riley awkwardly nodded, "Yeah..." She mentally cursed, remembering that Maya didn't even have her damn phone on her.

Farkle looked at her, watching her play with Nathan, with such a sweet smile on her face. She always lit up when she was spending time her her son.

Even though he had only been around her and Nathan twice, he could tell how good of a mother she was. She seemed so caring and so attentive to him.

Farkle smiled, as she watched her caress Nathan, murmuring sweet words.
