Maybe I should do this more often.

And Gina said I'd never find the right guy. She would be so jealous if she saw Alex and this ring on my finger. So jealous.

Resting my head on the window, I slouched a bit so I could be more comfortable.

My eyes remained shut as a loud yawn left my mouth. I attempted to stretch but one of my hands slapped against the glass window. My eyes popped open as I winced and kissed my hand. My eyes then darted to the driver side to see Alex gone. I took in my surroundings and soon realized we were at a gas station.

8:30 a.m.

Three more hours..

My eyes studied Alex's side profile as he returned. It wasn't until then that I realized my head was pounding.

"Do we have any medicine in the back?" I frowned as Alex pulled onto the empty street.

"For what?"

I blinked. "Because I need it."

"Your head hurts?" I nodded, confirming what he had just asked. "I've been driving for six hours straight with a fucking headache while you sleep so peacefully. Did I take medicine? Nah."

"That's not my fault." My frown deepened. "You could've-"

"Man shut the fuck up."

"Alex, we're married." I spoke. "We shouldn't be arguing over little things like this. Telling me to shut up wasn't necessary."

"Is you done or is you finished?"

"Really?!" My eyes widened as I stared at the side of his face. "Princeton-"

"Bruh." He groaned as he pulled over to the side of the street. My eyebrows furrowed as he unlocked the doors. "If you're not going to shut up then get out Maj."

"No!" I protested.

"Okay. Fuck this shit."

He got out of the car, slamming his door shut. Alex began to walk to my side of the car. I tried to lock the door, but it was too late. He swung the door open with all of his force I thought it would break.

"Get the fuck out Majesty. Who paying for this car? Not you."

"Alex!"

He grabbed my wrist and yanked me out of the car. My head hit the inside of the car as he did so. I fell on my hands and knees, probably scraping them on the gravel. Just when I thought he was done, he yanked me up by my messy, straight hair. I nearly fell but I caught myself.

"When I tell you to do something you're gonna fucking do it Majesty!" He shouted in my face. "You got it?"

I quickly nodded my head as I felt fear wash all over me. "Y-yes."

"Good." He kissed my lips and pushed me a little as he let go of my hair. I stumbled back and lost my balance, falling on my butt. "Have fun getting to Vegas." He winked before hopping in the car and driving off.

"What the..."

A million thoughts went through my head as I walked on side of the road, looking for a bus stop... or something.

How can he just leave me like that? And we're married. We're married for crying out loud! I'm so done. I'm done with him. I swear I'm done with his ass. Next time I see him I'm slapping him across the face and that's a promise.

I let out a huff and hugged myself as I heard thunder echo throughout the morning sky.

"What a day.."

After walking for an hour I finally saw a bus stop in the distance. The little bit of happiness I had left got rained on. Literally.

Rain poured down, hitting me like bullets. I looked down at the ground as I ran as fast as could in the rain. My hand gripped the rail on the bus as I stepped up on the first few stairs. About five people were on the bus, but none of them paid any attention to me. That surprised me because I'm sure I look like a hot mess. Hair everywhere, scratches on the palm of my hand and knees, and not to mention I'm soaked and haven't brushed my teeth yet.

Swear to God I'm going to slap Alex.

"Bus ticket or cash?"

Shit, shit, shit!

I feel like stabbing my eyes out and running over them with a big semi truck.

"I-I lost my purse and my money was all in there." I said the first lie I could think of.

"No money means no ride." The bus driver frowned.

I frowned also. I get she's doing her job, but damn.

"Ma'am please I-"

She shook her head. "Sorry, company's rules."

A sigh left my lips as I turned around and prepared myself to step off of the bus.

"I'll pay." A male's voice spoke. I turned around and saw a white man in a suit stand up. He swiped his card and gave me a small smile.

"Thank you so much." I thanked him for the tenth time as I sat next to him. "It really means a lot, you didn't have to!"

"You're welcome." He nodded with a smile. "I'd hate myself if you walked off this bus in the rain. It's storming pretty hard." I nodded in agreement. The wind was so heavy signs and trees were shaking. I'm thankful that there's such nice people on this planet, for all I know if I got off this bus I could've been found dead on side of the road. "So, where're you heading?"

"The airport." I replied. "Going to New York to be with family for the holiday."

"I bet it's nice there." The white man noted. I nodded my head and told him it is indeed. Well, some parts are nice. All places have their bad sides. "You know, you look like someone I've seen before.."

I turned my head to the window and bit my lip out of nervousness. "Really?"

"Don't take this the wrong way." He laughed lightly. "But have you ever watched The Cosby Show?" I nodded me head, already knowing where this was going. "You look like the older daughter. I believe her name was Denise? Yeah, Denise."

I've actually heard that a lot. Lisa Bonet was and still is gorgeous. But, I don't think I look like her.

"Thank you." I blushed.

"You could be a billboard or front cover of a magazine." He complimented. "What's your name? Just in case I see you one day, I'll be able to say I met her on a bus before she was famous."

"Majesty." I giggled. "Majesty C-Turner."

"Majesty Turner." He repeated with a small head nod. "I'm Justin Nickel."

"Nice to meet you."

"Same to you."

I relaxed in my spot and stared out at the deadly weather. Thundered echoed throughout the sky. I got a small glimpse of lightening as it made a quick appearance.

My eyes slowly closed as the sound of rain hitting the window soothed my ears.
