I got to the office and the principle escorted me to his office. I was very confused. He sat me down in front of a computer. On the screen was a picture of Kye, clearly a video lay in my hands.
"She made a video for you." he said softly.
I manned it out and nodded, pressing play.
"Carter, I can't thank you enough for everything you've ever done for me. You made me feel like I was the most important person, alive... But you broke my heart and... I can't stress it enough how that must've felt for you, to just push me away... I want you to know that you are ALWAYS, ALWAYS in my heart. I love you like my own brother. Thank you!" she signed off and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
"Carter." Mr. A said putting a hand on my shoulder. "You talked to her before, I assume?" he asked. I nodded, not bothering to wipe my tears.
These tears were for Kye, my one true best friend. She told me secrets she hadn't told anyone else, and never will. And I never will either.
At eleven a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2013, I lost my best friend, my 'sister', my everything.
I can't begin to explain how that feels.
