"My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." [Quran, 17:23-24]

"And your Lord has Qada (decreed) that you worship none but Him.And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor reprimand them but address them in terms of honor." (Quran17:23)

5.Recognize mercy and be grateful.

Reflect upon Allah's mercy when you see all the blessings around you.

Ar-Rahmaan Himself says:

"A revelation from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"
[Quran 41:2]

"Say: "Invoke Allah or invoke Ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names. And offer your Salah (prayer) neither aloud nor in a low voice, but follow a way between."
(17:110)

"The Beneficent, the Merciful."
(1:2)

"Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the Most Gracious!'' Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord."
(21:42)

"And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy."
(3:132)

"So, when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy."
(7:204)

6. We have to seek Taqwa from Almighty Allah.

"And ordain for us good in this world, and in the Hereafter. Certainly we have Hudna unto You.
He said: (As to) My punishment I afflict therewith whom I will and My mercy embraces all things. That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who have Taqwa, and give Zakah; and those who believe in Our Ayat." (7:156)

7.Recieve the mercy of Almighty Allah by offering four rakats of Sunnah prayers before Asr Prayer.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"May Allah have mercy on a man who performs four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer.''
[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

May Almighty Allah shower His endless mercy upon all of His creation and help us to be merciful towards others and to implement all what we have learnt today!

Aameen.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

'Glory be to You O Allah, and with Your praise, I testify that there is no God (worthy of worship) except You, I seek Your forgiveness, and I repent to You.'
