1st Chapter

"Hey, Dharell bro, are you busy? Let’s get some gimmick." I called him up ‘coz I got bored here in our house. It’s summer vacation. I have nothing to do here that’s why I ask Dharell to go out.

"Sorry ‘Tol, pero hindi ako pwede ngayon. Alam mo naman... Si orange ko."

Oh yeah, I forgot. May girlfriend na nga pala  ang isang yun. Kaya panigurado may sariling lakad silang dalawa.

"Next time maybe, I’m really sorry bro..."

I sighed. "It’s ok, bye."

Again I dialled Marx and Trevi’s number, but they were all having  their own gimmicks. Tsk. Andaya talaga nila. So I ended up disappointed. I threw my phone on bed.  I picked it up again ‘coz there’s someone swiftly  get in to my mind.

"H-hi, Bea." Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Sh?t. Why do this heart beats so fast? Kaibigan ko naman siya diba? But still she always had an effect on me. Since then, she's my crush. Wait. I think, I can‘t call it crush. I liked her since then. I cant tell her. Why?  I don’t want do ruin our friendship. I just kept it privy.

"Hello Carriev, napatawag ka? Kamusta?" Oh, what a lovely voice.

"Im good. Did I bother you? I just  want to ask you to  go out, if it’s ok with you. Just hanging out."

"Ah, No.. I’m not busy. Wala naman din akong ginagawa eh. Nakakainip ang summer vacation. So... Saan tayo?"

"I’d picked  you up..."  Anong oras na nga ba,  sinulyapan niya ang kanyang wristwatch , it’s already 3:00 PM.  "...at 3:30 PM in your house. Ok?"

"Ok..." I heard her giggles. "Bye."

Oh yeah, I haven’t introduce myself yet. Carriev Dickinson. 18 years old. Half-american half-filipino. I was able to speak tagalog. I also had a sister. I grew up in U.S. but my father decided to live here in Philippines to venture business. We’re living here for almost six years. Im studying at Westridge Universtiy (WU), one of the country’s renowned university. There I met my friends, they’re my classmate since first year. We’re graduating this year. But there’s a problem, the girl I loved, Bea. When do I confess my feelings to her? It’s really bothering me.

"Bye.’’ I ended up the call.

Naligo ako. Then I just wore a jeans and shirt  where I’m comfortable.

3:20 PM. I glance at my wristwatch as I stopped on Bea’s house.

I pressed the doorbell.
