You had just moved in, and there was already a fight at school. A troll named Eridan and another troll named Sollux had injured themselves fighting. You were now in Language Arts, your favorite class. A kid with shades was sitting next to you. He looked bored, and he wasn't paying attention.
" Mr. Strider, d9 I have t9 inf9rm y9u a69ut 9ur p9licy 9f paying attenti9n in class?" Mr. Vantas said, whacking his ruler on the desk loudly. You jumped and made a little noise.
"Sorry sir, but I just don't get the fact that we have to put commas after a list. I mean, some people prefer not to put a comma after the last item in the list." He was actually... listening? Interesting.
"That is true, 6ut the c9rrect grammatical law says t9 put them after every item, s9 that is t9 6e false."

After class, you walked up to him. "Nice one. I had a teacher who was the exact opposite! No commas after, and-"

You sat alone at lunch, until a troll walked up to you.

"Sure, I have nothing else to do." You walked over to their table.
":33 < I'm Nepeta, and this is Karkitty, John, Jade, Tavros, and Rose. Dave never sits near us, though."

"YEAH, APPARENTLY HES TOO 'COOL' TO SIT WITH US." Karkat said, sighing loudly.
"Well, I'm (y/n). Nice to meet you all. Is Dave your friend, though? He was so rude to me in English."
"Dave is our friend... but he just doesn't like being seen near us in school."
"Bullshit. If he's your friend, he should not care what people think." You walked over to his table. "Hey, Douche-Bag."

"Yeah, I didn't do anything." Dave said, genuinely confused. Looks like you'll have to enlighten him.
"you don't sit with your friends because you're too cool. John, Jade, Rose, Tavros, Nepeta and Karkat kinda hate it. And if you don't even ACKNOWLEDGE THEM in school, then I guess they aren't your friends. And for the record, YOU DID DO SOMETHING DAVE. YOU HURT YOUR FRIENDS FEELINGS, AND HAVE BEEN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!"

You walk away, seeing the group astonished.
"i,,, wOULD NEVER HAVE THE BRAVERY, tO DO THAT, aND i THINK, iTS TRUE, dAVE WAS PRETTY RUDE," Tavros said. The table agreed. Dave came to sit, but Kanaya stretched her legs across the remaining seats.
"Guys, I didn't know I was hurting your feelings! It's that slut's fault!" Dave said, pointing at you.
"You Know, I Think (y/n) Was Right, Dave. So Leave." Kanaya said, then refused to talk to him anymore.
