We all sat in the living room, just mourning about Dad's death. Karrueche held India as she just silently cried. Dudley and Reece sat in their own little corner just silently crying. Zach didn't cry he was just silent, you can tell he was holding back tears though.
Minutes later Chris came in with Sammy. Sammy was crying so hard, he was really hurt. He punched on the wall and slid down onto it. "Fuck! I didn't get to say sorry. I didn't! I didn't! I'm sorry!" Sammy said crying. India got up and went to him. She held him as they both cried. Indyamarie and Sadie came in quietly.
This shit so tragic man, all Sammy,Chris,and India had was their dad. He was their father, mother, and friend. Not only did they lose their mom, they lost their dad now. All India ever knew was her dad.
Luna will remember this day. She'll remember her granddad that she loved dearly, not waking up.
Cordell came into the house wiping his last tears. India went to him and they hugged.Everyone of us has shared a memory with him. He was a dad to us all. Treated Cordell,Karrueche, Indyamarie, and I like his own children.
No one really talked we was just sitting their quiet.
Once it got late we all headed home.
"You hungry?"I asked India as I went through her hair."No, I'm good."she said.I looked at her,"Baby you haven't eaten since yesterday when I made breakfast."
"I'm fine Lucas."she snapped.
"I'm hung-g daddy."Luna said.
"Alright baby girl."I said turning into McDonald's. I bought Luna a kids meal and went home.
Once I got home, I cooked India's favorite dish, Spaghetti.
I came up to our room with her food, where she was just sitting there,"Baby please eat."
"Stop! Lucas I said I'm fine I don't want to eat! " She yelled. Sighing she calmly said" I'm sorry. Just please stop baby, I know you're worried. I'm just not hungry." "Alright."I said walking out.
I sat at the kitchen table by myself and just ate. I'm not mad at her at all, her father just died. I know everything just got worst for her so the last thing on her mind is eating.
After eating I went up to our room, she was in the bed crying. I went to her and held her.
"I remember, after I answered all his questions over the phone that day when I wanted to start talking to you. The last question he asked was are you a Cavaliers or Warriors fan? Once I said Warriors he said welcome to the family son. He told me everything I should know about you and how I can sweep you off your feet. It worked." I said kissing her cheek.
She lightly smiled. "The day we did it, I went in the kitchen and he was in there he stared me down and said I know everything that goes on in this house. You and my daughter did it. Then I was like you caught us, I'm sorry sir. He laughed and then straight face me and said I was just kidding but thank you for letting me know, get out my house. *India laughs* But he said just kidding she let me know she was gonna do it."I said.
" he was my bestfriend, like the day we did it. Before we did it, I text him saying I'm bout to do it and he was like you're going in a virgin out an non virgin, I don't condone this , but do what you gotta do. Then seconds later he text me. I really don't want you doing this. Then he text again saying but do what you gotta do, you make your own decisions." India said laughing a little.
"He was a great man."she said sighing."He's in a better place."I said. "I just hate that Luna had to experience that." India said."Yea, that's the sad part."
"Yesterday she started crying cause she was trying to wake me up and you know how I'll sometimes ignore yal when yal try to wake me up. Well I did that and she just started boo hoo crying." India said. "Damn."I replied.
"This somewhat traumatizing for her."
"Damn I wish this was all a dream."she said looking down.
