“It's time to wake up.” My mother's voice cooed, gently shaking my shoulders. I groaned in response. “Ella, sweetheart, wake up.” She responded to my groan.
“It's too early, I don't wanna die today. School blows.” I replied, rolling over onto my stomach, burying my face into the pillow beside me. My mother sighed, standing up and walking towards the door, but before she left she said something that brightened my entire day.
“Your brother is here to take you to school.”
I jumped from my bed sliding my slippers on and pulling a bra on. Rather be safe than sorry, who knows he could've brought his entire band along. I ran down the stairs, stopping at the bottom. In my kitchen standing at the table was my older twin brother, Louis. “Lou!” I screamed, causing him to turn around, grinning madly. I ran toward him and jumped on him, tackling him in a bear hug. He leaned against the wall for support from my surprise jump, but caught me and held my tight.
“Hey there El!” Louis said, chuckling. “I missed you, little shit.”
“Oi.” My mum protested, waving the spatula in her hand at my brother warningly. “Watch your mouth.” Louis smiled at her guiltily.
“I've been stuck in a tour bus with Irish-man Nialler over here for two years, give me some slack.” Louis replied, flicking his finger over his shoulder at four boys who all looked as guilty as the blond boy, his head tipped down. “I hope you don't mind, mum. I brought the boys home with me, and they all agreed they wanted to finish schooling before we went on our next tour.”
My mum, Catherine, looked not exactly happy, but education was always important to her, so she wouldn't refuse, “As long as they pay their own tuition.” She grumbled, “And find their own rooms, Lou you can stay in Ella's room on the air mattress, your friends can sort out who gets to share your room and the spare.” Catherine said, turning back around to her breakfast.
After my brother went off to X-Factor he'd been more rebellious. He still had the spotlight in the family, but he wasn't treated like a baby as much as before.
“I'll show you guys around while El gets ready. It may take her awhile. You know how girls are.” Louis said with a smirk, earning a death glare from me. I jumped off his back, which was where I had ended up at, and walked towards the stairs, but not before sticking my tongue out at him and running up the stairs. “I hope she falls.” He mumbled.
“I heard that!” I yelled back. Ah, yes. The family banter was returning to its normal state. I quickly went to my room and rummaged through my drawers, picking out pieces of clothing to wear. Although it was fall, the weather was rather warm in Cheshire and I felt like wearing something nice. Digging in the depths of my closet, giving up hope on my dresser, I found a light pink mullet dress, with a silver belt at the synched waist. Since my dress had spaghetti straps, I had to wear a jean jacket, otherwise my dress was against school dress code. Ugh, stupid school. I also slipped my cream combat boots on, and zipped up the back. I looked in the mirror, happy with my look, then I looked at my hair. Oh what a mess. I released my hair from it's bun and ran my hands over the poofy mess. After I brushed it out, the relaxed, gentle curls fell to my elbows in tiny ringlets. I was so happy it didn't take much to calm the mop on my head called hair.
“And that is Ella's room, down at the end.” I heard Louis mumble from down the hallway, and I quickly applied a light bit of make-up. Then when I finished my make-up they were outside my door, and I could hear Harry explaining something to them, then the words became clearer. “Her real name is Arabella, but don't call her that or she may kill you..” Louis said with a tone of seriousness. I whipped open my door and glared at all five boys.
