Four years ago I came to help move her into her freshman dormitory...
It had been over twenty five years since I had touched the Atlantic for the first time at Myrtle...
It was also my first snow beach encounter...
So being on Tybee beach four years ago was wonderful...
Feeling the sea breeze on my face...
Hearing the sound of the tide rolling in...
It took me back to the Pacific...
The South Pacific and the Indian...
I promised my myself that I never go so long without sand between my toes!!!

So yes2day... September 6, 2016...
I kept that promise to myself...
I stepped onto Hilton Head island beach!!!

I my never have the opportunity and nerves to get snowflakes between my toes again...
But I am making plans for more sand between these toes...
