Its about five o'clock and Jade is speeding down the hill on her bike. It's almost time for her to be home. Her mom always wants her home before the street lights come on.

She never makes it though.

This time she's trying her hardest to get home before those damn street lights come on. Her 'mom' told her that if she doesn't make it home this time, she'll be grounded for the rest of the summer. Jade refused.

Jade pedals faster and faster, her breathing becomes heavier, her small hands begin to turn red, at how hard she's gripping the bike handles.

Just as Jade is almost out of the woods, a flash of green flies in front of her, she reacts quickly and grips the break, the pressure lifts one wheel up off the ground, Jade let's go and flies forward off of her bike. She flips and lands directly on her back, the wind clearly knocked out of her.

She looks up at the ground and tries to breathe. The small thirteen year old is no longer worried about getting home, but worried about what the hell just happened.

She sits up and picks the leaves and sticks out of her hair. She groans as she feels her ripped overalls. Those were her favorite pair.

She slowly gets up and picks her bike up as well. She was about to walk away, but the green light that flashed in front of her was only getting brighter from behind her.

She looks over her shoulder and her face scrunches up as she analyzes the light. She drops her bike, no longer caring about it.

Jade turns all the way around and begins to slowly make her way over towards the bright light. She doesnt know what it is, but she sure is going to find out. Forget about being home, she's pretty sure the street lights already came on anyway.

As she gets closer and closer, the light only gets brighter. She held her hand up in front of her face and looks down and the hole in the ground.

"Jeez, what the hell." She mumbles to herself.

A small tap on her shoulder scares her and she turns around quickly but there is nobody around. She must just be getting paranoid. She begins to think that she's crazy, she should just get home.

She turns around to take one more glance at the green light, as soon as she turns around she's bumps into somebody and falls to the ground. She can barely see who's there though, the bright light is still so distracting, she holds her hand in front of her face once again.

The person begins to walk closer to her, she backs away, still on the ground and picks up a stick.

"You stay away from me, or I swear this will be up your nose!" She shouts.

She gasps when the stick flies out of her hand without the person even touching her.

The person gets closer and Jade just lays there, breathing heavily. What if she doesn't get home? Her mom is going to be so heated.

The person sits in front of Jade, blocking the light some, but now the persons face comes to view. Jade kinda looked at the person that sits upon her oddly.

Its a girl.

She's never seen a girl looks like this though. She's about Jades age, at least she looks like it. Her hair is green, just like the light, she's got some odd tattoos on her face and her outfit is nothing Jade would see the neighborhood girls wearing, maybe on Halloween.

Jade sits up a bit so she can see the girl better. She's got tears coming out of her eyes and she just looks scared. Jade sits on her knees and just stares at the girl as she cries.

"Are you lost?" Jade asks. The girl doesn't say anything though.

"Do you know where you are?"

The odd girl just sniffles and shakes her head no. Good, Jade thinks its good that she at least understand English.

"Are you from Canada?" She asks. Her foster mom would always tell her that people from Canada were weird.

She shakes her head no again.

"I'm lost." The little girl says and Jade feels bad for the little girl.

"Do you have parents?" She asks

"They left me...." The green haired girl replies.

Jade sighs.

"Well my parents left me too." She says and the girl smiles a bit. "See we aren't so different, what's your name, my names Jade." Jade holds out her hand and the little girl just stares at her hand.

"Perrie." She mumbles. She doesn't shake Jades hand though, she's confused, they don't shake hands where she's from but, Jade doesn't know where she's from.

"I like it, Perrie is an awesome name, say, where did you come from anyway?"

Perrie looks at her and just simply points up at the sky. Jade looks up at raises her eyebrow.

"You fall out of an airplane or something?" She laughs. Perrie looks at her confused on what an airplane is.

"You mean my space craft?" Perrie ask

"Ughhhhh, sure? Airplanes don't go to space though......."

"I'm not from your planet."

"What are you like from the moon or something." Jade says sarcastically and starts laughing. Hard.

"The moon is very nice, but no I come from Echost." Perrie says seriously.

"Echost?" Jade repeats.

They sit in silence for a couple minuets. Jade believed in all that fantasy stuff, but there's still lots of questions she had. Perrie was weird to Jade, but Jade knew she was just as weird and how could she possibly judge her.

"Come with me." Jade says standing up and holding her hand out for Perrie to take it. Perrie stares for a few seconds. She hesitates and grabs her hand. Perrie is scared, but for some reason she knows that this little girl won't hurt her. She feels some sort of comfort towards her.

"You can crash at my place for the night, we'll have to sneak you in but, I think this could work, we could have a sleep over." Jade explains as she picks up her bike.

"What's a sleepover?" Perrie asks, holding on the Jade's hand as the continue to walk.

"You're kinda weird." Jade sighs.
