Picture Perfect (Dylan O'Brien Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

   It was a bright sunny morning, just kidding. It was actually raining slightly, and was a bit foggy. I woke up to my alarm clock from my phone, which was playing a beautiful tune. I rolled out of bed and wiped my eyes, it was 5:00AM. Now I know what your thinking, why in the hell do I wake up at this time?! Well, it's because if my job. I am a very committed photographer, along with my best friend, Kate.

So let me tell you some things you should probably know about me: 1. I am a very awkward person. Let's say I was at a photo shoot with a very famous celebrity, who was so confident and so handsome/beautiful, I get awkward and just try my best to take the photos. Since it's my job, I have gotten used to it. 2. I'm 24 years old, so I would say I'm young. Kate's a year younger then me, and a fun fact, we grew up together! We have been the best of friends since we were three and four. I'm the brunette, she's the blonde. 3. Although Kate and I act mature while we are working, when we're not we are just like children. We love all the different television shows, and we are HUGE nerds when it comes to anything related.

I'm not going to bore you with random facts about me, I'll tell you or you'll figure it out as I continue to tell you about my day to day life. So why am I going to tell you about my life? It's pretty ordinary, get up, go to work, come home, sleep. Well, Kate and I have a new case coming up, we call them cases because it sounds better, and it's a shoot for an up coming movie, The Death Cure.

Kate and I have worked with famous people before: Jason Statham, Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Rihanna. So why is this particular case important? Well, I have had a huge crush on Dylan O'Brien since Teen Wolf. I know what you're thinking, "you're just another fan girl!" or something like this, "He has a girlfriend!" I know that!

Today is the shoot and I couldn't be more excited.

I got up and grabbed my dark blue skinny jeans with my plain, white, tang top. I went into the bathroom, doing my makeup and hair. Then I walked out to the kitchen to see Kate eating pancakes. I looked at the pancakes that were covered fully with syrup, and I mean they were DRENCHED with syrup. It kinda made me feel sick to my stomach. I shook my head at her as she stuffed her face with pancakes.

"Why are you going to eat cereal, when I made us a bunch of pancakes!" I turn around to see syrup all over her face as Kate spoke to me.

"Kate, I would have had pancakes, but just looking at your pancakes makes me feel sick!" I laughed and pointed to the syrup blob. She laughed and nodded her head before continuing to eat. I made my cereal, brushed my teeth, Katie and I left for work.

When we got to shoot my heart was pounding, a lot. I was never nervous with meeting any of the celebrities, except for Jason Statham because he's awesome. I was going to meet my celebrity crush, along with his friends, who were also famous. We walked into the building and went to the front desk, where an older women stood.

"Hi we're Ashlynn and Kate, we're here for 'The Maze Runner' shoot." Kate and I gave the older women a smile as I spoke, both of us being really excited. She gave us a smile in return and directed us to the room.

She opened the door and there they stood. Dylan had his arm wrapped around Britt, his girlfriend, who I didn't think would be here. Thomas was talking with Ki Hong and Will, while Kaya was at the snack bar.

As we walked in Kate and I gave each other a very happy smile. Our boss, Trey, spotted us and approached us, clapping his hands together.

"Girls! We are still getting set up, and everyone still has to get ready! You both are here two hours early!" He gives us a worrying look but Kate and I give him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry Trey! Kate and I wanted to get here early to see everyone! Don't worry though, we won't get in the way of anything! We just want to help set everything up." I assured him and Kate nodded along. He smiled and nodded, going to talk to the gang.

I walked over to my co-worker Simon, who was setting up lights, while Kate walked over to the snack bar. When Simon saw me, he gave me a friendly smile, like always. I look over at Kate, who is shoving her face with Chips and Dip.

"So Smiles, are you excited?" I look up at Simon who's smirking. He knows about my huge celebrity crush on Dylan O'Brien and I've been talking about this shoot ever since we got notice, 3 months ago. If you're wondering why he called me Smiles, it's because I'm also happy or in a good mood. The last time I cried was three weeks ago when I was binge watching Grey's Anatomy, and saw a death science. (Don't want to spoil who)

"Of course I'm excited! These are my favorite actors and actresses ever and I'm about to do a photo shoot with them-" I was going to continue rambling when there was a light tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a beautiful blonde haired girl, with blue eyes, Britt Robertson. I smiled at her.

"Hi, I'm Britt, I'm not sure if you know me or not?" She extended her hand and smiled.

"Of course I do, I'm Ashlynn Williams, and that's my best friend Kate Smith over there, stuffing her face with chips. We're the ones taking the pictures." I smiled and shook her hand back, after we released our hands she stayed smiling.

"So, you guys are a really high class photography group, so I've been told. Can I ask what's so different about you guys the others?" She gave a concerned and confused look.

"I honestly couldn't tell you," we both laughed and I continued, "Trey, the person who runs this business, is very strict when it comes to his work. Everything must be perfect. The lighting, the set up, the look of the people, background, exedra."

"So basically just the perfection of everything, doesn't that get boring? Just doing the same thing every shoot?" I laughed and shook my head.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That's how it used to be, should have added that. He used to be a complete perfectionist, but then Kate and I came in and loosened him up a bit. Now when we do a shoot, Kate and I have some twists. We try making it more comfortable for everyone and also make it more fun." I smile and she nodded, but then Dylan came over.

"Hey babe," he leant over and kissed Britt.

"Hey, this is Ashlynn Williams, the girl taking your pictures, along with Kate Smith over near the food bar." He smiled and I returned the smile, trying my best not to blush.

"It's nice to meet you Ashlynn." He shook my hand and I nodded.

"It's very nice to meet you as well." That's when a girl came into the room clapping her hands really loudly.

"MAKE UP TIME!" She shouted and instantly, all the cast members followed her.

Britt smiled and waved, following Dylan.

When she left, I turned back to Simon who had moved on to a different light. I walked over to Kate and nudged her arm. She looked at me while a piece of dip was on her chin. I laughed, grabbed a napkin and wiped it off. This was going to be a great photo shoot.

A/N: Hey! If you don't like Authors Notes, just go on to the next chapter please! I know this was a boring chapter, and kind of an introduction, but I can promise you this will get better! A LOT OF DRAMA WILL HAPPEN! Just saying. I also am aware that Death Cure isn't out yet, as it is September, 6th, 2016, but in this it comes out sooner.
