Devon’s POV-

I woke up early and headed back toSidney’s room, through the bathroom, like nothing ever happened and I never disappeared throughout the night.  Shane was still sound asleep.  I couldn’t help but give him one last look before I left him.  His chiselled chest made me want to rub my hands all over it, his soft-lipped pout made me want to kiss him, his jet black hair hung over his now covered bluish-purple eyes.  I found myself groaning internally.  And then, I was busted...

“What are you doing?”  I hear Sidney whisper as she surprised me.  My heart was beating ferociously out of my chest.  How am I going to get out of this one?  “Is he talking in his sleep again?”  She asked me.  Yay!  An exit!  I nodded.  She giggled as she pushed me aside to look in and closed the door seconds later.  She looked at me with a smirk.  “If I didn't know you better, I'd say you were checking him out.”  I laughed at her.

“I bet you he wishes.”  I tell her pointing over my shoulder with my thumb in his bedroom's direction and walk back to her room.  “Even if I were interested, why would a guy like him want anything to do with me?”  I asked her.  “Don't get me wrong, sure, I look better than average but we have an understanding, remember?  And then there’s what’s happened.”  She nodded.  Somehow, something must have still been bothering her because she kept on pushing me for answers.

“I'm calling your bluff.  Just because you shouldn't, doesn't mean that you're not thinking about him.”    She explains to me.  I turned to look at her angry at what she was insinuating but more at the fact that she was right.  “I see the way you look at him.  The joking around, the touchy-feeling...  Dev, I know you.”  She tells me softly.  “You like him.”

“Sid, just drop it.”  I tell her.  “Why are you pushing this anyway?  You were always the one that told me to stay away from him, that because of the awkwardness, it was forbidden.”

“Things change.”  Sidney looked up at me.  “It was a promise we made to eachother when we were kids, much like the one where we wouldn't date eachother's rejects.  It was a school-girl thing.”  I looked at her and my jaw dropped.  She looked sincere about what she meant that if I did like Shane, that she had no issues with it.  It felt great but then again, I wasn't about to run to him.  I wasn't quite sure if he was in it for the fun of it all or if it was heading for something more serious.  After all I had been through, I was a little overly cautious.  Can you blame me?  I knew that if I had a chance at love with him, I had to take it.  I couldn't see myself with anyone else but him at the moment.  There wasn't anyone else I trusted.  I decided that I had to find out for myself and when I needed it, I'd ask Sidney for her help.

We walked by Shane's room as we headed off to the back yard with our textbooks.  He came out and grabbed my arm and pulled me into his room.  Sidney noticed and followed.  I noticed the look of annoyance on his face that we weren't alone.

“I have a suggestion.”  Sid began.  We both looked at her.  “Devon told me a bit about your project last night and I'm curious on if you had thought about the seduction angle?”  I looked at her and blushed.

“Sid!”  I start.

“No, no.”  Shane said.  “She could be on to something.”

“I know the perfect guy for the job too.”  Sidney added.  Just when I knew what she was up to, she sent me a curve-ball that knocked me on my butt.  “Tony's done some modelling before.  Maybe he'll agree to be in your shots.”  She looked at Shane.  I couldn't help but laugh because he looked like he was turning green.  “What?”  She asked him.  “I don't think you're shooting for girl on girl for seduction or are you?”
