Male twins ran along Glass Shard Beach. They were heading towards a boarded up cave they came across late previous day.

"Wait up!"

"Yeah, you should keep up."

"I-I can keep up!"

They soon arrived and, after giving words of awe, immediately started trying to take the boards down.

"Good thing you have your smarts, Poindexter. I've got the other thing. What's it called? Oh right. Punching!"

The boards were broken as soon as the fist came in contact with them.

"Cool! Splinters," the brother said before he and his twin entered the hallow. "Don't forget to leave our names so they know who owns the place."

Before long, two names were written on the wall in black permanent marker.

"Pines! Pines! Pines! Pines!" the boys shouted as they delved deeper into the cavern.

Stanley & Stanford Pines

A few days after the twin brothers had begun their work on the Stan 'O War, they began to grow curious. At least, one of them was.

"Hey, Sixer," Stan started. "Do you think there's anything in that cave we might've missed? Like maybe some sort of treasure!"

"I-I don't know," Ford replied. "I guess we could always go check."

Before they knew it, the twins were back at their cove, delving deeper than they had before.

"Woah," Stan said as he came across a large hole in the ground, flashlight in his hand. "Cool."

"Cool?" Ford replied as he walked to his brother. "It's just a sinkhole."

"But what if there's treasure down there? Come on, bro, we have to check it out!" Stan ran back to where they had found their boat and grabbed an old, leftover strand of rope. "Will you go down there for me?" he asked as he walked back. "I'll hold onto the other end."

"Stanley, we don't know what's down there! What if it's bottomless?"

While Ford was busy panicking, Stan had tied the twine around his brother's waist. "Don't worry so much. I've got you're back, always. If something happens, I'll be right here to help you. You know I'll never let anything happen to my nerdy bro."

"Fine," Ford said as he grabbed their flashlight and slowly walked to the pit. "But if anything happens, it's your fault." Stan nodded and got his tight hold on the old lead as his brother entered the abyss, repelling along the walls, shining the flashlight around. Until something caught his eye.

"Uh, Stanley?" Ford called from below, "I-I think the rope is breaking! Get me out!"

He was right. As soon as Stan started pulling his brother back up, the weak twine gave way and sent the scared, startled child tumbling down the chasm.

Stanley panicked before he remembered his promise and jumped in after him, trying his best to catch up. The next thing he knew, he was out cold.

Stan woke up first, finding himself on a bed of yellow flowers. His brother lay beside him, seemingly unmoving.

The more muscular brother hopped up instantly and grabbed his brother's shoulders. "Wake up, Stanford!" he said, very worried. If his brother was injured in any way, he would never forgive himself. After all, this was his insanely risky plan that would've caused such tragedy. He shook his brother slightly. "Come on, Sixer."

"Five more minutes," the polydactyl child replied to his sibling in an agitated tone.

"Thank goodness," Stan told himself, calming down from that anxiety surge, holding his brother in his arms. He looked up to the dark abyss he and his twin had fallen into, wondering how they'd return home. Everything was find and dandy -- if you excluded being lost -- until a voice was heard behind the twins.

"Howdy!" the voice suddenly called, causing the bigger of the twins to jump in his seat. He shook his brother once more before standing up and turning to face the source of the voice. Ford scrambled to his feet as well once he realized something was going on and couldn't continue his nap.

Before the Pines stood a yellow flower about their height -- with a face. "I'm Flowey," the flower continued. "Flowey the Flower."
