By linguistic offspring, I meant the language you wish to create.
However, before we truly begin, let me give you the following information and advice:
-your language name should be different to the names of any other real languages, even though it can be a mixture of two or three etc. (Jashpinish-Japanese and Spanish...but that sounds awful, so be creative);
-try not to add too meany apostrophes in your language's name, like 'Lei'ine' has one already;
-when learning any language, the first things you learn are small words, like 'hello, goodbye, thanks' etc-make those first when creating your language!
-grab an empty notepad and make your own small dictionary to start off with, inventing your first words and naming various, everyday objects;
-attach sounds to different objects and even verbs to get some etymology from which to build your language's vocabulary.

-I called my language: Lei'ine. It sounded different, elegant, cool and strangely (I noticed afterwards) it sounds like a Hawaiian term. You might not like it (it's pronounced 'lay-EE-nay', just so you know), however I do and as long as you like your language's name, then who cares?
-You could ask people for their advice on different names to give and choose the one with the highest votes, but I prefer to work alone.
-You want your language name to be easy to pronounce. Notice how literally every language's name out there is fairly easy to pronounce? Dutch (du-tch), Japanese (Ja-pah-NEEZ), Spanish (SPAH-nish) etc.
Choose your favourite letters and arrange them to see how it all sounds!
