LIAM:

As Liam pulled up at the hospital, he wrapped his arm around you and helped you walk inside. Once he told the nurse on duty the situation, she quickly got you settled into a room. “Mrs Payne,” the doctor paused, taking off her gloves, “they were contractions, but the good thing is that you are only 2cm dilated and your waters haven’t broken.” She smiled slightly and stood beside the bed, opposite side to Liam. “We will give you some medication to try to slow the contractions down and keep the little one inside for as long as possible,” she fiddled with the IV drip in your hand and rubbed your arm comforting. “Please don’t panic or worry, alright? Looking at the monitor, baby looks good, that’s a fantastic sigh. I’ll be back shortly to check on everything,” she said before walking out of the room. Liam sat down in the chair beside the bed, his eyes never leaving you, as you lay on your side facing him. “It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. I’m meant to go into labor in a few weeks and have the baby at the birth centre, not like this,” you begun to panic, your breathing coming out in short gasps. Liam moved his chair closer to the bed, gently cupping your cheek in his hand. “Darling, I know it’s not what we planned,” he said, holding back his own tears as he gently wiped your eyes, “but I’m here with you, alright. You are not alone. And maybe our little one just wants to meet us earlier,” he kissed your forehead. “Close your eyes beautiful, get some rest. I’m right here. I won’t let anything happen to either of you, I promise.” You nodded, breathing slowing down as you listened to him and closed your eyes. As Liam watched you fall asleep, his heart ached. If something happened to you or the baby that you both tried so hard for, it would be his worst nightmare. He couldn’t help but blame himself; maybe if he was home with you and not at the studio, or made you rest more, you wouldn’t be here right now. He gently moved some hair our of your face, letting his tears fall down his cheeks. He rested his head on folded arms on the bed close to you. He sniffed again and closed his eyes, drifting off into a light sleep.

A few hours later, Liam woke up to the sound of you wiggling in the bed, trying to get comfortable, but failing. “Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling?” He asked sleepily and sat up. You placed one hand on your rounded stomach, the other one finding his on the bed. You whimpered as you felt pressure build followed by a pop and warm fluid covered your thighs and the bed. Liam jumped out of the chair and squeezed your hand. “My water just broke,” you whispered. Liam stood there shocked, the colour draining off his face. You whimpered again and squeezed his hand as you felt a strong contraction building. Liam snapped out of his thoughts and quickly called out for the doctor.

LOUIS:

"Oh my god, my boy is coming," Louis said getting excited. You looked at him with pleading eyes. "Can you help me to the couch? It’s more comfortable," you asked quietly. As Louis slowly walked to into the living room and helped lower you onto the couch, you couldn’t help but whimper as a contraction wrapped around your belly. "It’s ok boo, I’m right here. Just breath," he comforted. As the pain disappeared, you laid down on your side, sighing as the pressure in you lower back eased, but feeling nervous that labor had finally begun. Minutes later there was a knock on the door. "It’s open," Louis called out not taking his eyes off you. You heard the front door open and close, followed by footsteps approaching the living room. "Lou, Y/N," Jay said, quickly kneeling in front of you. "How are you feeling? Can i check the position of the baby?" she asked and rolled up your top, pressing her hands around your big baby bump. "Baby’s head is down, he feels low, which is good. He feels like a big boy, like Lou was," she chuckled and rolled your top back down. "I can’t believe this is actually happening," Louis smiled, "in a few hours I’m going to be a dad. He’s-" Louis said but you cut him off. "Just stop talking Lou," you snapped, "JUST SHUT UP." You closed your eyes tightly, as a contraction wrapped around your stomach. Louis took a step back, unsure of how to react; he knew you weren’t angry at him, you were just in pain. "Lou, love," Jay said turning to her son, but kept her hand in yours, "why don’t you call your sisters and tell them their nephew will be here soon?" He nodded and walked away. "I’m sorry," you whimpered as the contraction ended and opened your eyes, "It just hurts." She brushed the hair off your sweaty forehead, sensing how Louis and the process of labor was making you stressed. "I know darling, just breath with it," she soothed, "and don’t worry about Lou, he understands."
