Chapter 2

I have my own Cabin in Camp Half-Blood. We get separated on who our parents are. Since mine is one of the 'Big Three' I get a slightly better cabin. Which I think, personally, is pretty cool.

Today I decided to leave my cabin and meet some people and maybe even make some friends.. Well, that is, if anyone really wants to be friends with the daughter of Hades.

I guess I wasn't paying attention because I walked into someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry..." I said.

"No, it's- wait.. You're that new kid.. Not too long ago I was new here.." He said.

He wasn't quite bad looking.

"So.. Who's your parents? Not to sound rude or anything..." I asked as politely as I could. I really wanted a friend besides the dead.

"Poseidon.. You?" He asked.

"Hades. And please, don't think I'm anything like him.." I said.

"No, it's fine. Have you.. Gotten to see your father?" He asked.

"Yeah.. A few times. I know.. He kind of broke the rule of no children.. If you know what I mean.." I said.

"Yeah, my name is Percy Jackson. What's yours?" He asked.

"Sophie Madison. But the dead always call me Soph.. Not to be kind of weird when I say 'the dead'" I said.

"No, it's understandable. So, do you need a tour around this place?" Percy asked nicely.

"Yeah, sure." I replied.

Percy showed me around the camp. We talked a little, turns out we are the same age. He told me about how he had to return the Master Bolt to Zeus. I thought that was pretty cool.

"Percy!" A girl ran over. "Percy! Chiron wants to speak to you."

"Alright, Annabeth. Introduce yourself." He said as he walked over to Chiron.

"I'm Annabeth, I helped Percy on his quest with the Master Bolt." She exclaimed. "You're new, who's your father?"

"Hades. I'm Sophie." I said shyly.

"Cool. Well, I have to go train. Maybe sometime I can teach you some cool moves." Annabeth said as she took out her sword and started fighting the closest person with a shield.

About that Percy kid, I think I like him. He's nice.. and he's cute. It's my first week here... I shouldn't be falling in love already. I'm pretty sure Dad wouldn't be so happy with me getting a boyfriend without his permission either.

"HEY!" A blonde-haired boy said to me.

Woah. But he didn't top Percy though. I mean this blonde kid was cute, but not as cute as Percy.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Your not bad looking." He said.

I laughed a little.

"Excuse me, my name is Luke. And-" he got cut off by Percy running towards us.

"DON'T TALK TO HIM!" Percy screamed.

"What?" I asked.

"He tried to kill me.. And he is pure evil. Please, Soph." He said.

He called me Soph.

"Okay." I said and we walked away.

"Sorry for screaming." Percy said.

"It's okay." I said. "So.. Is there anything going on between Annabeth and-" I started to say.

"I don't know. Kind of, I guess." He said.

"Aww, you guys are so cute together." I said laughing a little.

Yup, Annabeth, daughter of Athena.. Ugh.

"Did you get a gift from your father?" Percy asked me.

"No," I said.

A bell went off.

"Let's go," Percy said.
