I was sitting in study hall on the 3rd week of freshman year. Kat my best friend was sitting next to me trying and failing to get her homework done. I sat next to her. I gave up on homework about 30min ago so now I was trying to figure out my Rubik's cube. The boys sitting across the room from us suddenly they eruptively stood up and made there way to our table. Obviously they were going to Aidan's table which was situated next to us but they redirected to Kat and I's chairs. The boys as I call them are the athletes. Well except for Aidan but he is just annoying. My friend Ophelia has a crush on him and she's so obvious! It's like she wants him to know, but I know he likes her so I have to get them together and let's just say that Kat and I are the schools biggest match makers but yet we have no men, funny how that works. Let me tell you about Kat she has shoulder length brown hair always kept in a ponytail or away from her face some how, she has brown eyes too; anyway she has a crush on the Junior varsity quarterback Jackson Ratcliff (Jackson has a crush on her too). I think she is still afraid of being hurt to actually be anything with him.

"What do y'all want." Ophelia said irritated.

"Hey boys, come to flip Gatorade bottles again? 'Cause if you are I need you to do it over there." She remarked pointing to the other side of the room.

"I'm studying." Kat said still looking down at her homework. Jackson looked at her with slight amusement in his dark chocolate brown eyes. I looked at Paxton who was standing in the back corner of the group. Our eyes met for a second then he averted his gaze to Jackson's conversation and Aidan. While I looked down blushing letting my mid length red hair fall into my face.

"Calli what do you think?" Kat said looking up from her homework meeting my eyes. Dang it! I zoned again!

"Repeat the question." I blushed slightly.

"The boys want to sit." Kat said simply. Pointing to the chairs around us.

"Yeah sure. If they want too." I said looking down at my Rubik's cube that sat in front of me. I just stared at it trying to figure out the jumbled up colors.

Paxton placed himself in the seat next to Kat. She looked uncomfortable with it but still sat there just scooted her chair closer to mine shifting all her work. Jackson sat himself down in the chair next to mine. Good grief I'm not gonna get anything done. Jackson and I are really good friends.

The boys stood up and switched seats. Kat stiffened. She sent a pleading look over to me. She was at a loss I couldn't help her now.

"There done with math." She said straightening her things in her bag stiffly trying not to touch Jackson as she stood up to go get her next class work to start on. She came back and sat down Jackson threw his arm behind Kat's chair. Kat look like she was about ready to die. Paxton did the same for me. This is going to be a long year.

A/n hope you like it. It was short but I'll work on making them longer. Thanks for reading. The chapters will get longer! Please comment, like, and share.
