Nyx's hands shot to her temples.

This is a message. A message to every man, woman and mutant.
You have lost your way.

"It's the professor.."

Nyx murmers.

But I have returned. The day of reckoning, it is here. All your buildings and temples will fall. The dawn of a new era will emerge.
For there is nothing you can do to stop what is coming.
This message is for one reason alone. To tell the strongest among you... Those with the greatest power. Protect those without. That's my message to the world.

"How was Charles doing that without Cerebro?"

Hank asks.

"We have to get out of here and find him."

Nyx says, looking for the biggest shadow in the room.

"It's Xavier, isn't it?"

Stryker demands appearing in the window.

"What's going on?"

"We don't know!"

Raven exclaims.

"We don't know, bro!"

Peter adds helpfully.

Stryker scoffs and disappears again.

"The walls are blocking my attempts to reach Jean."

Nyx says, pressing her fingers into her temple.

"Wait, you're a telepath?"

Nyx shakes her head, before placing it between her knees and concentrating.

"Anyone can make their thoughts loud enough if they try."

Raven looks up at the window, men are rushing by with guns.

"Hey! What are they doing? What's going on?"

Raven shouts, making the rest of the group look up.

Nyx stands, just as a bloody body slams into the window.

A scream erupts from her mouth but she snaps it shut.

"What's going on?!"

Raven shouts again.

No one answered.

"Oh god, they're all dead."

Nyx whispers, not even realizing she's probably cutting off the circulation in Peter's arm.

"They're all dead."

She repeats, her eyes pooling with terrified tears.

Then Kurt appears in the window.

"Kurt!"

She exclaims, overjoyed he isn't dead yet.

Kurt says something but the glass blocks it.

"What?"

"What?"

Kurt taps the mic.

"Stay away from the-"

It cuts out.

"The what?"

"Th- door-  Stay away from the-"

"Get away from the door!"

Raven exclaims, as Kurt waves wildly in that direction.

"The door! The door!"

Peter grabs Nyx, and zips her away from the door.

"On three. One. Two-"

The door blasts open, landing with a thud.

On the other side Scott is putting his glasses on, and Jean stands beside him.

"We know where the Professor is."

Jean tells them.

"I think we might have a way out of here."

Scott replies.

"Well, you've been busy."

Raven comments glancing at the bodies everywhere.

"Please don't barf."

Peter pleads, as Nyx holds her breath.

"We had a... a little help."

Jean replies, breathlessly.

"Let's go."

They all sprint behind Scott, jumping over bodies.

Well, all except Nyx, who was for the sake of stubbornness upset that Peter had to carry her for the second time that day.

"This way."

Scott says leading them around tight corners.

They enter a hanger and at the center, is a small jet.

Raven whistles appreciatively.

"Nice."

"Hey, Hank. Do you think you can fly this thing?"

Nyx asks, wincing as she shakes her arms, still zinging from the shock.

"Yeah, I can figure it out."

Hank replies, examining it.

"Hey, guys. Flight suits."

Scott says opening a compartment.

"Great, do they happen to the correct sizes? Cause that would be almost cliché."

Nyx says, pulling one out.

"You got your warplane. Let's go to war."

Raven tells Hank.

"Suit up."

Raven orders, as Nyx finds one in her size.

"Yep, cliché."

"What's wrong with cliché."

Peter says grabbing his own suit.

Nyx doesn't reply, she just turns to Jean.

Let's go change back there.

She thinks loudly, nodding to a stack of steel crates.

Jean nods.

The two quickly change and board the jet.

Peter tsks at them, his hands on his hips.

"So slow."

The girls roll their eyes, and take seats.

"Let's go defeat an ancient monster."

Nyx says, strapping herself in.
