"Oh my god, that movie was priceless! Thank you for taking me out, you're the best husband ever." I said to Shawn and hugged his side. He really is the best husband ever, I don't know how I would even live without him by my side. I love him so much.
"Anything for my amazing wife." he said and smiled, taking my hand in his and giving me a kiss on the forehead.
We walked across the snow filled parking lot down to our car.
I got in the passenger side, laughing my head off as acted out what he thought were the funniest part of the movie. I turned the car on so it would be warm when Shawn got in. He was out wiping the snow off the windows. I leaned back and looked at him lovingly, thinking about when we first met, here in Pickering at the local grocery store and when he fell down while checking me out. I giggled at the thought, and realized that he's still no better at hiding when he's checking me out than when we were 18.
Shawn shivered as he got in the car and immediately put his hands against the heater.
"Oh babe are you cold?" I asked him taking his hands in mine and covering his bare hands in my mitten covered ones.
"It's so cold out there. Maybe we should take a vacation to the Bahamas or somewhere where I don't have to worry about my nose freezing off." He said while putting his seat belt on. I put mine on too. He pulled out of our parking spot and drove out to onto the road.
"Goodness Pickering is so big. No wonder you get lost all the time." I said laughing at him.
"The only place im getting lost in is your eyes." He said with a shit-eating grin, taking my hand in his. I pouted and slapped him on his arm, muttering a small 'shut up' as he laughed at my reaction.
By the time he stopped laughing and my face wasn't red anymore we had stopped at a red light.
"One second." I said and took my seat belt off. I reached into the back seat to get my clothing designs art book from my bag because we were going to drop by my manager's place to give him my designs. I was a fairly successful fashion designer and had my own line of clothing out. Once I grab it I plopped back into my seat and began flipping through the pages.
"Do you think they're good? Will they sell?" I asked Shawn with a frown in my face. Worry was always in the very back of my mind, always making me insecure about my work. Thoughts of doubt always riddled my mind, even though I knew I wouldn't know how successful they were until they started selling (or not selling, which had actually never happened before, now that I think about it).
"Of course babe," Shawn reached over and lifted my face up to look at him. "You're the best fashion designer I know." He said sincerely with a warm smile on his face.
I smiled back and laughed softly. "I'm the only fashion designer you know." I took his hand that was under my chin and held it in mine. I sighed happily. "I love you." I kissed him softly.
He pulled back and smiled, "I love you mo-." He was cut off by the sound of crunching metal, out car being hit and forced into the light post.
The next thing I know I'm suddenly ripped away from Shawn as I went through the windshield. I'm out like a light as soon as I hit the pavement.
(Shawn)
I ran along side Loni as they brought her down the hallway on the gurney.
"Is she gonna be okay?! Please I need to know!" I shouted at the nurses while crying.
