«Birthday»

~Two Years Later~

I open my eyes and smile seeing my beautiful girlfriend like always. A month after our first date Katniss and I were comfortable enough to move in with each other so I moved out and moved into Katniss's apartment and just last year we moved to North Carolina as I was able to build my own bakery and Katniss has a new job in designing and is the top person at her work. She loves what she does and it makes me smile when she tells me all the good things that happened at her work. As for my bakery, it's been the number one bakery ever in North Carolina and I love my job and the people I work with. Today though is my lady's birthday and this year I've saved up a whole lot of money.

I carefully get out of bed without waking her and I walk out going downstairs and start to make her breakfast. Every year for her birthday I let her sleep in and bring her breakfast in bed because well she deserves it, she does the dishes every night even when I say I will but that girl is just so stubborn it's unbelievable, but I love her for it.

After finishing the food, I prepare it on a plate and set that on the tray with some orange juice. I carefully walk up the stairs and open the door without ruining anything and I smile at seeing her still sleeping, I guess I should wake her seeing as it's 10:30 am but I want her to get as much sleep but we've got a day planed. I set the tray on the bedside table and climb behind her kissing her neck

"Wakey wakey" I say softly and she sighs turning over and smiles

"Happy birthday baby" I state kissing her softly but passionately

"Mmm. Thanks babe" she replies

"I made you breakfast" I admit placing the tray carefully on her lap as she sits up

"Peeta... You didn't have to" she says

"I did. It's your birthday and I want you to have the best you can. Now. Eat your food" I state making her giggle and she starts eating, I kiss her temple and I use this time to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and clean the house a bit. It's funny that in the two years we've dated we've never met each other's family, I'm scared to meet her dad seeing as he's super protective of her. I walk back upstairs and into our room seeing Katniss starting on her makeup at her desk

"So when do you want your presents?" I ask and she rolls her eyes and stops to look at me

"You bought me presents?" She asks

"Of course I did. Why wouldn't I?" I reply making her smile and shake her head and continue to do her make up. I hope she enjoys her presents, in total her presents together coasted $28441, I know, I know it's a lot of money but she's my queen and I'd spend all my money on her.

"How did I get so lucky to get you as mine" I admit pulling Katniss against me making her giggle and put her arms around my neck

"I knew we had something when we danced at that bar" she admits making me smile

"So did I. You know I even had dreams about you and I" I state and she smirks

"Really?" She asks and I nod smiling and kiss her she kisses back and tugs at the hair at the back of my head which drives me crazy, I slowly brake away

"Geez Katniss" I groan making her smile and she walks off. That girl sure does know how to make me weak...

I hold her hand as we walk around the park. We've just been out for lunch and now we're taking a walk around the park. As we sit on the bench I see her staring smiling sadly, I follow her eyes and see that she's looking at a woman who is holding a newborn baby

"Katniss" I say knocking her out of her daze

"Are you okay?" I ask rubbing her back and she sighs

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just got lost in my thoughts" she replies

"You know you can tell me anything" I state and she sighs

"Okay... I want a baby. I've been longing to have one for so long" she admits

"Katniss. We're not even married yet" I say

"I know. I know. I just think a baby would be good for us" she admits looking down at her hands and I take a hold of them and she looks ad me

"I promise. One day we'll have a baby" I say and she smiles and kisses my cheek.

"Oh Peeta it's beautiful!" Katniss gasps at the charm bracelet making me smile brightly as she puts it on. We've just finished the romantic dinner I made and the fancy cake so right now she's opening the presents I bought

"Anything for you" I reply and she smiles kissing me. I excuse myself for a moment and get the kitten that I've been keeping in the guest room which is never used. I pick up the kitten which has a blue ribbon and two tickets to Fiji with it. I walk downstairs telling Katniss to close her eyes and I take my spot next to her

"Okay. Open your eyes" I say and she goes and gasps

"Oh my god! Peeta!" She squeals as I put the kitten on her lap and she sees the tickets and picks them up and squeals

"We're going to Fiji!" She smiles

"Yep. And we're staying in our own resort" I explain and she kisses me

"You are literally the best thing that has happened to me" she admits warming up my heart and I smile and kiss her cheek

"I'm just glad I met my lady in red" I reply making her smile and blush.

Everlark are going to Fiji!

Sorry this chapter is crap. My school term finishes in 3 weeks and then I'll have 2 week holiday meaning I'll be able to update more.
