So the second week of school just passed, being the first two weeks of Middle School for me. There are pros and cons, good and bad things to Middle School and the different way they do things. And then there's the hilarity of the first week when you're trying to figure out how everything works. So I'm gonna be sharing everything.

Monday, August 22nd, 2016 - First Day of School

The first day of school was okay. Mainly introductions and learning the syllabus/what we'll be doing in each class for the rest of the year. I got my schedule, learned where everything was. Basically all my classes are across campus from each other, so that *helps*. Lunch was a bit confusing, cause there's a line outside where you can get lunch, and a line inside where you can get lunch. But now my friends and I know everything. I had a chicken sandwich for lunch.

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 - Second Day of School

Okay. I have first period gym, and one day during the first week, we were all supposed to go to the library during gym to get our pictures taken for our I.D.s. So on Tuesday, we were walking to the school library and as we were walking there, our teacher got informed that they knew they wouldn't be able to get everyone done within the time we had left for that period, because they already had another class in there getting their pictures taken. So we walked back to the gym, not having time to do anything else before we had to go to our next classes. We started taking notes in Algebra (I'm one of the few seventh graders that actually got into Alegebra). On the second day, I got called into the Counselor's office. I was SO scared that I got in trouble (even though I had no idea what I'd be in trouble for) but it turned out that they just couldn't find my immunization records, which I had turned in the morning of the first day, before school started. So I missed a good twenty minutes of Algebra because of that. And then, when they finally found my records and let me go, the bell had already rung so I had five minute to get to my next class, Science. So I had to run from the Counselor's office (which was in the Administration Building) to my Algebra class to grab my backpack and other stuff, and then I had to run to my Science class, which isn't very easy considering I have to go through another building to get to the outside door where we wait for the teacher and inside the buildings is always SUPER crowded cause there's seventh and eighth graders trying not to be late to their classes cause they only have five minutes to walk from one class to another. I made it just in time.

Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 - Third Day of School

The day we were supposed to take our pictures was pushed to Wednesday, because we couldn't on Tuesday. But then, again, as we were walking to the library, we got informed that nobody was there to take our pictures. So we had to walk back to the gym, and didn't get to do much before class ended because it had taken forever for us to be able to line up and start walking to the library (apparently for no reason!)

Thursday, August 25th, 2016 - Fourth Day of School

Finally. We FINALLY got our pictures taken. After everything in gym was taken care of (people got their lockers, locks, and we knew someone was there and we could go to the library), we got to go to the library and get our pictures taken. Only problem was that the bell rang while there was still like five people left. So everyone else except those five people left (I was one of those five people). I was the second-to-last person to get my picture taken, and there wasn't much time left for me to go across campus to get to my history class. So right after I got my picture taken and I was told I could go, I ran as fast as I could across campus to get to my history class. Luckily, most people were already in class, so I didn't have to worry a whole bunch about bumping into people. But I made it, just in time.

Friday, August 26th, 2016 - Fifth Day of School

Nothing too special, basically a regular day. Except for the fact that we HAD HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND!!! I HATE weekend homework! I think it's VERY stupid, because weekends are supposed to be our breaks from school and work and grades and stress! HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND SHOULD NOT EXIST!!!

Schedule

Period 1 - Gym
Period 2 - World History (adv.)
Period 3 - English (adv.)
Period 4 - Lunch (adv.)
Period 5 - Band (elective)
Period 6 - Algebra 1
Period 7 - Science (adv.)

So yeah, that was my first week of Middle School. I'm about to go into my third week, wish me luck! I'm just glad about the THREE DAY WEEKEND!!! So, happy labor's day everyone (it's on Monday) and see you later!
