Chapter 12

No ones POV

"Please don't be angry at him for leaving he is a better person now" Lauren continued

"Why are you doing this mom?" Kayla asked as her eyes start to water

"A girl should know that her father was a great man" Lauren said as Kayla opened the photo album

"January 25, 2010" Kayla said out loud "the day I met Prince Charming"

She sees a fetus picture of Luke and Lauren from when they first started to date

She looks at Luke and that was the moment she realized that he was her father

He was in front of her this entire time and she had no idea who he was

It all started on that day they bumped into Luke, she didn't realize that he was the man my mom was in love with but she knows now that her mom is in love with this guy

"September 23 2016" Kayla reads "The day I will remember forever" she looks at the picture of her, Lauren and Luke from the other day

She closes the photo album and looks at Lauren with tears going down her face

She looks around the room to see everyone crying

"Kayla are you okay?" Lauren asked her daughter

"I don't know what to say to the both of you" Kayla says looking at Luke motioning him to sit next to her

"I'm sorry for the way I've treated you and your mom" Luke apologized as he sat down next to Kayla

"You don't need to apologize you left for a reason, you were not ready to have a child yet. You guys were both not ready to have a child yet" Kayla said

"You both sacrificed a relationship because of me. I always thought you left because you didn't like me but I understand, I understand what love means now at 6 years old. Even though you only have been here for 4 months, I had a nightmare one night that I will never find you" Kayla continued

"And what?" Luke said

"I found you Dad" Kayla said as Luke started to lose it

Kayla brought him into a hug but just not any normal hug, a father daughter hug

"This is what I wished for when I blew out those candles a while back and now I know miracles can happen" Kayla said letting go of the hug

"Kayla are you mad at me?" Lauren asked

"Mom I can ever be mad at you. You kept this from me because you wanted to protect me, you put me before yourself because you love me, I will never be mad at you" Kayla then hugs her mom

"But there's one thing that I will not forgive you if you don't do it" Kayla releases from the hug

"I'll do anything" Lauren said

"Get back together with Dad" she said

"Wh-what" Lauren said surprised

"Cmon mom there is nothing to complain over here, just tell the man you love him" she said "you have my blessing"

Lauren then smiled at Luke as he did the same

Luke got up from his seat and went towards Lauren

Lauren stood up from her seat and walks towards Luke until they are close together

"Lauren Michelle Jauregui I love you" Luke says

"Luke Robert Hemmings I love you too" Lauren says as they both kiss

"Forever?" Luke says afterwards

"Forever" Lauren locks hands with Luke as she says this

They both look at Kayla as she plays with her American girl doll

They are both proud to call Kayla their daughter
