Chapter 3

We got back in his car. I checked the time on my phone. It read 1:23 pm. School ended in about an hour and a half. "Do you want to go back to school?" When I looked at Jason,  I realized he was already looking at me.

"Not really. There's no point anyway,  school will be over in an hour."

He started up the car and drove out of the parking lot. He looked so tense. I could tell reality came back into play in his mind.

"Want to go to the mall or something?"

"Actually, I was gunna meet up with Annabelle."

"Oh.. Ok, well I'll text you later. Want me to drop you off at your house?" He looked so sad.

"Yeah, my parents aren't home, so they won't know when I got there."

We drove for 25 minutes and made it to my house. I looked up at the two story house. It had bushes lined at the sides, on the far left was a flower garden, in the middle was a big oak tree with two swings attatched to one of the big branches, and to the right was a fountain.

We rounded the drive way to the front of the house. I said bye to Jason, hugged him, and got out of the car. I walked up to my door and admired it for a moment.

It was a dark blue color, almost like a navy blue, with windows along the sides and a gold door knob. The rest of my house was white, with dark blue shutters.

I walked in and took my shoes off. I put my stuff in a chair at the bar, and walked to the fridge.

"What should I eat?" I asked myself out loud.

"I think you have some pizza rolls in the freezer"

I turned around as fast as I could and chucked an egg at the voice that appeared from nowhere.

"Umm. Ow?"

"What are you doing here?! How the f....Freak did you get in my house?" I stared at him shocked and confused.

Conner.

"Well.. Your mom is bestfriends with my mom and I've been here so many times when you're not, that I know where your mom hides the spare key. Plus, since she loves me so much, she told me I was allowed to come over whenever I wanted to." He said, trying to wipe off some of the egg that was plastered to his blue plaid shirt.

"That doesn't mean you have to actually do it!! Are you crazy?"

"Just a little.. Can you help me remove this from my clothes?"

"No! Why should I help an intruder who came in and violated my home when no one was here?"

"True. Well, desparate times call for desparate measures." He said with a smirk on his face.

And with that, he ripped off his shirt, revealing his wonderful, beautifully toned abs.

Wait.

Shut up, Amy. He's stupid.

"Stop drooling, buttermilk."

"I'm not drooling, and buttermilk? You really are stupid."

"Who needs to be smart, when they can be sexy? I guess that's why you have straight A's." Umm.. Ouch. That hurt.

He put his shirt in the sink and turned on the water. Was he about to wash his shirt in the sink for real? Idiot. Sexy.. Sexy, idiot..

Ugh, shut up.

"I don't need to be sexy, I'm beautiful just the way I am, thank you."

"Whatever you want to believe."
