The room was pitch black,cold and silent. The only thing heard was the air conditioner blowing occasionally.
It wasn't an eerie silence, more of a peaceful one.
To bad for Onika it wasn't going to last long. For today was her Birthday and her family had other plans than sleeping all day like she had planned.
"Auntie, Auntie,Auntie, Aaauuunnntttiiieee!!!!! Wakeeeee Upppp" a hyperactive kid, who I assume to be Onika's niece screamed at the top of her lungs. Vacation was a time you were supposed to chill,but right now she had NO chill. Like honestly where's her chill at, we need to find it, like now.(I'm sorry, I had to😂😂, I digress)
She did her best to ignore the yelling and shaking. First she tried a pillow,
that didn't work. There was only one more option for her to choose,begging and she was willing to.
"Stop please...... come on Erica stop or you won't get any of my cake" but that only made her try harder to get her up.
"No it's your birthday, Auntie! Get up lazy bones!" Feeling defeated,Onika obeyed the 6 year olds wishes.
Making her way down stairs to get water.
Nicki never really did things on her birthday. She liked the usual,which was to sit and watch movies all day.
There's nothing wrong with that to her, she was very content with doing that and actually preferred that than making a big fuss about her b-day.

I swear that little girl won't stop at nothing to get me to do what she wants. I guess that's what I get for spoiling her all her life.
"Auntie when do I get to eat the cake today" Erica whined tugging at my shirt.
"You don't get to eat the cake, remember what I said, I wasn't kidding" jokingly I told her, which then made her start to complain.
I chuckled to my self as she gestured for me to pick her up. I hoisted her in the air and began to twirl her. While she's thrown in a fit of giggles. She does know she's to old for this, doesn't she?
"Are we still going to the mall today?"
Oh shit, I forgot I promised I'll take her. There's no getting out of this one;I'll just have to honor my word.
Cause I hate seeing my baby sad.
"Of course, but after breakfast; go wake your mother and everyone else up." I told her before she broke into a smile. I was really confused, can someone tell me why she is randomly smiling,it's not like she can't smile or something I just wanna know why.
"I can't" she said with the grin still plastered on her face.
"And why is that" I said now facing her after putting on the eggs.
"They're not here Auntie." She said rather excited.
"Oh really,Where did they go". I was very interested in her response, anticipating her answer.
"It's a secret, I can't tell you." After being told that I knew my family was planning to do something big. They know I hate making a big scene about my birthday. I rolled my eyes so hard, I swear my eyeballs were going to get stuck that way.
I finished cooking the food and sat two plates in front of us. It looked like she swallowed it up in one bite. Man she really wants to go to the mall. I don't see what's so great about it.
I wasn't even halfway done with mine and she rushing me just because she done. I wanna eat to, dang girl calm your horses.
After about 5 more minutes, I finished
eating,then did my hygiene and got dressed. Going back down the stairs I find Erica already dressed and stuff. I guess her mom picked out her outfit before she left.
At the mall
7:28 A.M
"E,do you wanna go get some shoes first or clothes " I asked Erica.
"Shoes, I want some more Jordans" Oh my God I thought it was my birthday not hers. She want some Jordans,hell naw she ain't getting no jordans. Better be satisfied with some Sketchers. (😂😂)
A few moments later
"Thank you for my J's Auntie, I love you." Look I know what I said, you know what I ain't gotta explain myself to y'all.
How do I just let her walk all over me like that?Maybe I am a push over.
While I was in my thoughts, I accidentally ran in to someone.
"Hey watch were you're going, miget." This woman is so rude, who the fuck does she think she's talking to.
"Sorry, damn and stop acting like your forehead or should I say fivehead don't reach all the way to Mars. Big headed ass nigga. Who do you think you are." If she can catch an attitude I can too.
"Rihanna, that's who bitch." She spat getting all up in my face like she big and bad"You know what let me stop, it wouldn't be a fair fight to fight an elf." Rihanna then proceed to leave,but she wasn't going to have the last word.
"I ain't that short, you dumb hoe" I shouted at her as she walked away. When I said that she turned around with a quickness.
"Ya' lucky we in dis' sto', if I see ya' again we brawlin'. Fuck outta here wit' that loud ass mouth of yurs' " Venom laced her words with this thick accent that sounded so familiar. Well we are in barbados so I guess that's why it sounds so familiar.
That pussy ass bitch lucky I got my niece with me if not I was ready to throw these hands. We continued to shop after that rude encounter with, rihanna I think was her name.
But it's whatever, she ain't going to ruin my mood on my special day.
Back at the condo
I pulled up at the drive way and all the house lights were out. That's weird when I left they were all on.
This has my mom all over it. I let out a humongous sigh as me and E made our way to the door. She wouldn't stop giggling.
I open the door and turn on the lights.
"Surprise!!!! Happy birthday Onika!!"
There stood my parents, sisters,
brothers and a few of my cousins that stayed in barbados.
I tried my best to act happy, by putting on this awkward smile.
I faced Erica "So is this the secret that you couldn't tell me " she smiled a toothy smile, even though she was missing a few and shook her head yes.
I couldn't help but laugh at her. Even though I did want a big celebration, it's always good to see family and spend time with them.

It was a pretty good birthday party to be honest. Every one had fun, we ate cake, yes even Erica got some cake.(😂😂)
I'm super tired tho, the party didn't stop till 2:39A.M. We put the kids to sleep at 8:00. Then the real fun started, we got wasted, like white girl wasted. I just know this hangover is going to be a bitch. Like that one I met earlier😒.
