The city was drowning in the suppressed emotions of the heavens above
The sky was a blur of grey fur and voluptuous roars
The patter of the rain grew louder, and dimmed
Like a badly tuned radio.
The chatter of the class almost drowned out the din outside.
Almost.
Volleys of arrows shot towards the roads;
The roads glittered like polished lead innocently
Almost as if were batting its eyelashes oh-so-cluelessly
The rain pounded against every surface
And it always bounced off harmlessly
The sky split into tendrils of thunder
The grey wolves above grew louder;
Trees crashed into tar
Water clung to legs
But nothing could halt the city
The battle raged on, unforgiving
But no one fell prey to its vicious beauty
Except a lone student on a gloomy day
Staring through grills that would never give way

Okay but seriously, can we talk about #168 in poetry???
Guys. This is super super awesome - rank 168!!!! I'm so excited - even though it might sound like I'm only doing it for the numbers - I'm not I swear.
But this is probably the most recognition I'm gonna get so let me enjoy it haha.
