She sat on the couch watching a movie just drinking a glass of wine when she heard multiple heavy footseps going down the hall of the appartment complex. She walked over to the door and peaked into the hallway with a curious look.
"What's going on here?" she asked one of the men passing by holding boxes.
"Oh, you're getting a new neighbor today" he said with a smile. She nodded then looked at all the movers.
"Okay. Have a nice day!" she said and closed the door. She pursed her lips as she walked back to her couch, picking up her glass of wine and sipping on it. "Baek?" she called out to her beloved roommate.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"We are getting a new neighbor today, okay? We have to talk to them later so get ready for that!" She called out and she could hear the grunts of his disapproval come from the young boys mouth. "Oh hush, it might be a pretty lady who could be interested in you," she teased the young man.
"Whatever Omi," he said with a sigh. She smiled then continued the movie quietly as she thought about who the neighbor could be.
Eventually the movie ended and she stood up to walk to her room, changing into an outfit she could take to the store. She grabbed a set of keys and she stopped infront of Baeks room.
"I'll be back soon. I'm gonna buy a house warming gift for our neighbor!" She said through the door.
"Okay. Can you get me some candy?" Baek said as he opened the door. She sighed but nodded.
"Of course. Text me what you want," she said with a smile then left her apartment. She got to the super market and she decided to get a nice bottle of red wine and an expensive champagne. Once she got the candy for Baek she began to hum to herself as she put her things on the counter for the cashier.
"Oh what a pretty young lady!" The older woman said as she rung up the items. Omi let out a small laugh as she bowed a little.
"Thank you so much. Too bad there aren't any guys who seem to agree," she sighs as she hands the woman her ID for the alcohol.
"You'll find someone some day, dear. Don't you worry about that!" She said with a wide warm smile. Omi smiled back and paid her the amount.
"Thank you so much ma'am!" She says as she grabs the bags. "Have a nice day!" She said kindly.
"You too dear," the cashier said. Omi walked out of the store with her bags and walked to her car quickly, not wanting to drop the bottles. She got in the car and began to cruise the town as she began to think to herself.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing. She looked down at it to check who it was.
"Hello Baek," she said as she put the call on speaker.
"Where are you Omi? I want my candy," he said sounding almost like a child.
"I'll be home soon. I'm in the car," she said as she began to drive home. "I'll talk to you later, bye!" She said to him before he could complain.
She parked the car and began to walk upstairs to get apartment when she heard a man's voice.
"I don't know anyone is this fucking town," the man said as he slammed his door. Omi just stayed quiet and walked into her apartment.
"I'm home Baek!" She called out to her roommate.
"Finally," he sighed.
"You know what? You don't get this candy. It's mine now," she said as she opened the chocolate and took a bite. Baek let out sounds of objection until she laughed. "Just kidding, here," she said as she handed him the candy she got him. He grunted and walked back to his room.
She began to decorate the bottle of champagne that she had bought for the neighbor with a bow.
"Please let this neighbor be an attractive man," she sighed to herself. She set the bottle aside and she popped open the bottle of wine she bought. She poured herself a glass and she grabbed her phone. "Wow I really am boring," she mumbled to herself as she crossed her legs. "Oh well," she sighed and she leaned back to enjoy her wine.
