PROLOGUE

- PROLOGUE -

Small town girl Adelyn Hamilton is a native of Sausalito, San Francisco.

The Hamilton's run the only music shop in the tiny bay area, well-known to all of the Sausalito residents. Because she was surrounded by musical instruments her whole life, Adelyn holds many talents. The 19 year old girl can often be found humming tunes from original songs she has written, with the lyrics scribbled all over the back of her hands. Adelyn's mother, Wendy recurrently scolds her on the warm summer nights when her electric guitar is just a little too loud. However, it is nothing personal. Wendy will always support her daughter's musical ability and the happiness that comes along with it. On the rare occasions when Adelyn is not practicing her instruments, her cheerful soul enjoys helping her father in the store. She is extremely fond of her 85 year old neighbor, Mrs. Walker, who comes in often to tune into the music that Adelyn plays that day. With her parents and best friend, Elizabeth May, by her side, Adelyn wants to grab her dreams by the balls and introduce the world to her music. She wants to show the world just what a small town bay area girl like her can do.

Pickering's finest Vine and YouTube star Shawn Mendes would've never thought he would become an international heartthrob by the age of 20.

Growing up, Shawn had a relatively normal life as a kid. He played soccer and hockey for a few years, but eventually grew tired of it realizing his heart wasn't fully into it. It wasn't until his freshman year of high school that he began to pick up guitar. Shawn had tried guitar lessons, but immediately grew tired of it. He then turned to YouTube videos, where he quickly became quite the guitarist. Now at the ripe age of 20, Shawn is taking the world by storm from his once bedroom riffs to arena anthems. Shawn has an awesome team and manager at his side as he continues to chase his dreams. Just as his Illuminate World tour had died down, Shawn wanted to hop back into the songwriting process as quick as possible. However, the stress swarming the press and the paparazzi around him in the Island Record's studio in New York had soon become too much for him. His manager Andrew had decided that it was best for him and the team to head out to the secluded town of Sausalito, San Francisco to continue the works there. Heading there with an positive and open mindset, he knew writing an entirely different styled album from his last piece would be anything but simple.

But what the Canadian didn't expect, was to come across the very inspiration that lead to his self-titled album which laid right in the small bay area of Sausalito.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hey ! I finally got back into writing and this idea just came to my brain lol.

I really hope you all enjoyed cause I'm really excited to see where this story is gonna!! Sorry the prologue is so short I just wanted to introduce my thoughts behind the two main characters before the story began.

a couple notes:

-I know Shawn started the writing process before he was 20 but I changed the age differences so don't freak out haha

-I also know that he did not write in San Fran!! The location however will be important to the story later on :)

-This story might be slow or fast I honestly have no idea and I'll try to update every week!!
