I had always watched
my friends tying a rakhi
around their brothers' wrists
on this day.

Yet I never regretted
To have a sister,
cuz I knew that she
could give me love and protection
that even a brother couldn't.

But today,
after so many years,
I felt that I was wrong
to make such assumptions
about her.
