To Overcome

The answers and questions have no feeling,

the pain and thoughts we bare, force us dreaming,

You were my moments, good and bad;

but i lost you faster than a ballad,

The times we shared and the love we carried

all melted away to leaving me married,

to deception and pain, in a lifeless stream,

I made myself bathe in your beam.

once we fought but twice i lost;

hanging on to memories cooler than winter's cough.

friendship and honor was all i seek,

but narcissism held your mind in and empty bleak;

healing was longer and the process was hard,

but the further i got, i removed all your scars.

your wounds are gone and your demons within,

but the fresh blade wound was clear with every blink.

Maggots and leeches human beings are;

you give them your moments and they repay you with scars.

trust no one, not even your own,

cause just like Caesar, "Et tu brute" will be your tone.
