Walking through the door to the peaceful sound of the TV humming. Guiding him in to the kitchen for a sandwich.

"Thank you Angel," my fathers smile is hiding pain with kindness. Normally I would spit out a sarcastic comment, but today's not normal, instead I smile and go on. As I turn to grab a napkin something in the back room breaks and I slowly walk to the back room.
"Mom?" Peaking around the corner looking for the being who did so.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" My mother's voice screams. Running to my Addin's room I see what's going on. My mother is calling the police.
"Mom? What is happ-," but before I can even finish my thought she interjects with a cracked voice,
"He-e told me to do something when he touched me." My mind hits a blank. He's only three.
The front door is busted down as a small swarm of police show up.
"Where is he Ma'am?"one of them says. She points to him and they pick him up with rubber gloves like he's an animal.

We follow them to a placidity that helps people like him. My parents go to talk with the doctors about a cure while I'm left by myself. Wondering the halls to find people who are others like Addin. I'm looking through one of the doors to a boy about my age, seventeen or eighteen years old, he looks just like a human. But his eyes hit at something, something I cannot pla-.

My thoughts are cut when a terrible scream echos through the halls.
Addin.

Running in the direction of the scream my ears start to burn from the pure terror. At the end of one of the hallways is a white door. Without thinking I push them open to find a room under me that contains Addin having needle going through his arm. The metal is visible through his pale, delicate skin.

"Stop!" My voice cracks with the pain.
"Stop your hurting him!" It becomes louder but I cannot stop from cracking and breaking apart. Then he stops. Which, in most cases would be a good thing, but the needle in his arm doesn't look promising.
"Let him go he's just a child!" I screech. One of the doctors looks up at me.
"This is for his own good. It will help cure him." For his own good? It will cure him? What if he doesn't want to be cured? What if its not a problem and others can live with it?

They take out the needle and he sits there as if he's asleep. His eyes blink open and he starts to shake.
He's having a sesier.
They all try to hold him down but to no help.
"HELP HIM!" This time my voice booms off the walls.
"Get her out of here." One of them say and men come in and grab my arms.
"Nononono!"
"He's my brother. He's hurt I need to be there to help him!"
They start me out towards the door
"STOP IT! STOP IT YOUR HURTING HIM!"
"Shut up girl," one of the officers say and it sends a bolt through me.

Addin's scream comes to life while I'm being dragged out and I feel rage hit me like a brick wall. Something surges through me as I push them away with ease. Their bodies hit the wall and I walk towards his screaming.
With a flick of my hand the doors open and all of the lights flicker. My body feels lighter but yet heavier. Everything feels, right.

"What the hell," one of their voices trail off at the sight of me. My eyes go from Addin's body to the doctors and he drops like a rock. My fingers move slightly and they all hit the walls. Going over to Addin I look to see he's still breathing. My arms reach down to pick him up when a bullet sounds. Turning around to see it still spinning inches away from me then it drops to the floor. My eyes catch the shooter and he turns a purple, blue shade. As his life slips away mine seems to get a little blacker. Looking around to see all of the people standing around; the doctors, nurses, military men but two are missing, my beloved parents.
"To bad. I was hoping to give a gift to the -parents last name-," the voice that comes out is filled with rage, anger, hatred.

My head tilts up ever so slightly and guns go off in every direction. Only to be stopped by yours truly. They drop and my wrists flick up to throw their helpless bodies in every direction. The building starts shaking as do my hands. But a small hand on mine stops it.
"It's okay Lyla," his small voice starts as everything shakes...

Shooting up in the bed with my hands gripping the sheets to death, sweaty palms and shaky breathing. I turn my body to look at the clock, eight fifty seven. My eyes graze over the night stand and find Addin sleeping soundly, hair slightly in his face as his breath moves it lightly. A smile appears to make its way to my face, I haven't seen him look so peaceful in a long time.
The covers fall off my body allowing the colder air to nip at my skin. I move towards my duffel bag and search through my belongings to find the items I need. Taking one and hiding it under my jacket while I balance the other in my hand. My body doesn't turn fully around and my eyes already connect with the bed with less wight on it.

"Shit." Looking around the grubby hotel room ,we have staying in for a few days. to see no one. The bathroom light isn't on nor any of the other lights. A mixture of panic and anger flow through my veins. My hand swings back and connects with a small hand of leather.

"Shit, isn't a good word to say Lyla," his voice is barley over a whisper but its easily recognized.

"I'm sorry I just though-," my voice fades as I remember that I promised to not bring it up again. He gives a sincere smile and sits in the chair with a plop sound.
"Ive got a present."
He smiles and sits straighter.

Taking the object I shoved under my jacket and handing him it. He smiles and gratefully takes it, opening the first layer I walk into the small kitchen and grab another gift.

"Can't get it open kiddo," I say with my back still turned. He doesn't answer and to my ears it sounds like a yes. Pulling out the lighter in my pocket I turn around with the object.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear, Addin. Happy birthday to you." He looks up and he becomes a light pink color.

I've been planning this for months; slowly getting together the cake, candles, wrapping paper and getting money to get him his present. He blows out the candles and goes back to trying to open it and he finally does.
"You know you could have gotten me something instead of a toy," he says as he examins his new special addition Wolverine toy.
"Yes, i know but your a kid and you can act like one once in a while," I say turning with a plate of cake in hand. Setting it down he immediately devours it.
The rushing of cars outside stops and silence fills the air. Quiet shuffling is sound and immediately I grab Addin's arm and pull him to the back window, he knows what's happening and doesn't question it. He runs out and I soon follow him. There's a highway behind the hotel, so I grab Addin's arm and pull him with me. As we go I pull him onto my back and run across one of the roads. Going up a bridge and onto another highway. Cars crash and swerve to avoid hitting us. My eyes scan to see any of the dark vehicles and they are approaching, fast. Taking off across another lane, hoping to creat a distraction, as we go up a bridge I see cars blocking us at all sides.
"Fuck."
"Lyla, bad word," Addin's voice says quietly in my ear.
"Addin, do you trust me?" My mind is still contomplating if this will work.
"Of course I do." Once he says it men get out of the vehicles and start towards us with guns.
"GET DOWN!" one of the voices ring. I start towards the side of the bridge. They yell at me to stop but I keep walking, I hear the slight release of a bullet and jump off the edge.
A loud thunk rings, "Addin are you okay?"
He nods and I start off towards the high way, I stop in front of a car and run to the driver side, seeing a family in the car, looking terrified. I nod them away and stop and old beat up truck, just to see a man, in his twenty's , driving.
"Get out I need your car," I ask and he just stares at me, Addin reaches over my shoulder and touches his hand, the man gets out and steps to the side. I let Addin off my back and hop in myself.
"Ready," Addin's voice rings and I immediately put it in reverse and start backwards. Avoiding other cars and by standers. I find a turn around and go into the other lane, cars swirve out of the way and slide into one another. As I speed away the hunters get blocked by the pile up of cars but that doesn't stop them, I hear helicopters fly overhead and I watch as they try to land by the road but cars that are trying to swerve out of the way almost hit it.

I stop at a gas station and as I  refill the tank I look into the passenger seat to see Addin asleep. My heart swells at his contentness. Getting back in the truck I take it to an old junk yard and get the truck crushed, getting rid of the evidence of having it. A couple hours of walking and carrying Addin we make it to a car dealer and I buy a Ford escape.
