-Justin's POV-

My mom panicked and called 911.

"What happened?" I asked Valentine.

She didn't say anything.

"C'mon, we have to take her to the hospital!" I reminded them.

"She hasn't been eating much..." Chris suddenly said.

Then, I remembered what Mia said. "It's happened like... right before, and you kept on lecturing me about eating!" Lecturing her about eating...

"C'mon, let's go." I said.

Gabriella looked at me. "Why aren't you panicking?" She asked.

"I saw her pass out before. I took her to the hospital that time, too."

"And she didn't tell you why she did?"

I shook my head.

"Did you ask the docs?"

I nodded. "But they didn't tell me anything."

All three of them didn't say anything.

Soon, we were at the hospital, and we could visit Mia although she wasn't up yet. I decided to go last, so I waited.

My mom called me, so I went over.

"What's up?"

She stared at me with disbelief covering her face. "Why did you ask her out?"

I winced at the sharpness of her voice.

"I like her, mom."

"So you made a deal and made her your girlfriend? I WILL slap you, Justin."

"Do you even know the deal?"

My mom shook her head, slowly.

"She said that if I opened a birthday party for her brother, she'll do a favor in return. She had a choice to reject me, mom. But she didn't. I didn't force her to anything!"

"Do you even know anything about her?"

"I know that she and her brother was sold to an asshole by her parents."

My mom looked shocked. Too shocked to point out about my language.

"She doesn't seem to like you..." She commented.

I wanted to shout at her. No duh!

"I've noticed. But I know that she can LOVE. Look at the way she treats her brother! She gave up EVERYTHING, and yes, I mean everything, just to get Chris to be happy!"

"Oh really? What did she give up?"

I glared at my mom. I'm sure Mia doesn't want me telling this to anyone.

"See? Nothing. You're just saying, Justin. Don't sass me."

But I just... feel like have to defend her.

"She gave up college. She saves money for her brother. She doesn't eat. She saves her lunch for Chris's dinner! She wishes that she gets abused instead of Chris. Mom, you don't know shit. Don't judge people. That's what you've always told me."

I turned and left her just standing there. Gabriella came out, and it was my turn, so I went in. Mia lay in bed, looking like snow white. Skin color and all. But she looked so fragile. So vulnerable. I heard slow beeps. I turned to the sound and noticed it and the heart beat monitor thingy. Beep... 1, 2, 3, 4. Beep... 1, 2, 3, 4. Beep...
