"Honey, it's 6:50 you're going to be late" My mom yelled from downstairs.
"I'm almost done" I yelled back rolling my eyes, another dinner plan with my friends, I don't want to be late to that.
Don't get me wrong I love my friends, but going out with them these days just reminds me how lonely I am. They no longer have time for me even when we hang out, I am always left out or that's just how I feel I guess.
"FLORA!"
"SHOES MOTHER, I HAVE TO PUT THEM ON UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO GO BAREFOOT"
"5 minutes Flora" Mom's head popped from behind the door.
Whatever mom, whatever. Shaking my head I put on my heels. Mom acts like it's some job interview I'll be a few minutes for, not some stupid dinner.
I make my way downstairs after checking how I look one last time. Lauren said we were going somewhere fancy and to dress up, so I put on a cute flowy black dress paired with my favorite black heels, my hair falling down my shoulders with natural makeup with a golden necklass. I was hoping I didn't over do it.

There was a knock on the door and I rushed to open it. Of course I was greeted by Lau and her boyfriend Chase, they can never be apart for more than 5 minutes. It has become annoying after a week.
She completely ignored my requests of a girls night. I really hoped this would be different, but I guess that's why we're going to a fancy place, it's going to be another date for them while me and Jess pretend it is not awkward in any way.
Jessica is our other friend who is also single and hates that we can't spend alone time with Lau anymore.
I wonder where she is, they usually pick her up first.
"Hey guys, let me get my purse and I'll be out"

"Thanks , so do you Lau. Chase handsome as always. Where's Jess?"
"Oh Jess and Luke are meeting us there"
"Luke as in Luke Caballero from English?"
"Yep"
"I don't mean to be rude, but why?"
"Because he's her boyfriend?" She slowly says confusion etched in her voice and face.
"What? Since when?!"
"Wait you don't know? Like for real, not acting to get me worried like you usually do for your lame pranks?!"
"No I'm not. She didn't mention anything to me about it, she never even said Luke's name"
Lau's blue eyes widened for a second, wondering how could Jess hide this from me. I'm wondering as well Lau plus a feeling of betrayal.
