Her baby blue suit case sat next to the couch, fully opened with her clothes half way spilling out of it.
She laid back on the floral printed couch, that she remembered getting with her roommate for a bargain at the thrift store.

Her brown hair was surrounding her round face as her deep brown eyes stayed fixated on the apartment ceiling watching the fan go round and round.

"Are you done packing, Jasmine?" she heard her roommate Angie ask.

Jasmine leaned over the couch to see Angie neatly packing her luggage on the living room floor.
She groaned and began flailing on the couch like she was 5 years old and her mom just told her to get up and clean her room.

Angie stopped packing to watch Jasmine create couch angels on the seats.
" Girl, you better stop!" Angie snapped with a laugh and a hand flick towards Jasmine way.
Jasmine laughed at her dramatic behavior.
" Do you wanna pack for me?" Jasmine pleaded with her caramel hands clasped together.
Angie looked at Jasmine with her dark chocolate eyes with a look of confusion and cocked her hip to the side
" Nah you good.I don't want to even pack my own bag." She said simply as she flipped her long midnight black hair over her shoulder.
Jasmine began pouting in hopes that her mind would change and Angie took in a deep breath and followed with " Imma give you a paper bag and you can pack your essentials and you can just wing it from there."

Jasmine sighed heavily and thought about Angie's offer but declined after realizing she was being sarcastic.

" Fine...I'll go finish packing." Jasmine said defeated as she dragged herself off the couch and Angie smiled in response.

A few minutes passed by until there was a knock on the door that was creating an interesting beat. Angie began beat boxing along to the beat as she approached the gold handle.
She opened the door only to come face to face with Jason who had a bag filled with to go plates. Angie quickly reached for the plates with a brief hello towards Jason.
" Is that how you feel?" Jason questioned with his arms open wide with confusion on his face as Angie quickly dogged into the bag.

" Jase boy, What brings you to this side of the hood?" Jasmine questioned as she walked toward Angie who already had bacon sticking out of her mouth.
" I wanted to bring you guys some breakfast and thought we could all hang out!" Jason said as he closed the door behind him, inviting himself inside.

" Thanks, but didn't Angie tell you we were gunna go on a girls weekend trip up north?" Jasmine said as she grabbed the to go plate that Angie hasn't attacked yet.

" No... My dearest Angie didn't tell me..." Jason said strained as he stared down Angie who was scarfing down the scrambled eggs.
Jasmine walked towards the couch and turned on the TV to see the weather report for the weekend to determine how she should pack. She could hear Jason right behind her as he mumble somethings underneath his breath about him wanting to go and how he should have been invited.
" Jase, shhhh I can't hear!" Jasmine said as she opened her to go plate and began eating the scrambled eggs and bacon.
In which Jason just stared at the back of Jasmine's head which Jasmine sensed and replied " Thank you for breakfast!" As Angie grunted in agreement.

Jasmine's eyes were focused on the tv until there was some odd movement that began to happen.
" Wait, What?" Jasmine questioned as she put her plate down.
Jasmine outburst caught Angie's and Jason's attention as their eyes were fixated on the screen as well.
The camera began going berserk which Angie said out loud " What is happening." Jason leaned a bit on the couch in hopes that the movement will give him a better understanding of what is happening.
Then all of a sudden, there was a bang that sounded like the world ran into an avalanche which gave Jasmine a jump scare, then a power outage followed right behind as that was the thing that terrified her the most.
" Angie... Calm down babe!" Jason said, he began to hug Angie as she continued to freak out about how she won't be able to use her phone or how there wasn't any wifi.
Jasmine walked towards the window and opened the beige curtains only to see nothing but white, it was like a snow storm. Which raised some red flags.
" You guys... Look outside!" Jasmine gasped as Angie and Jason came together and looked out the window only to reveal shocked faces.
" What's wrong with that picture..."Jasmine said loudly.
" It's a snow storm..... in Miami." Jason whispered to himself as he held onto Angie even tighter.

That was the night when everything changed.
