It was an ordinary Monday for Aiza who worked at the office of Miriam Foundation for women empowerment in Afghanistan. The pendulum oscillated to 08:00 P.M. and she was ready to leave for home. But to her misfortune she never reached home.
The Ministry of External Affairs of India initially managed to keep its silence but later on had released a press notice conveying the ministry's decision of dealing with the whole circumstance with greater confidentiality and grit.
But nothing could stop the news to take a storm throughout the country. The news of an Indian woman Aiza Mallik being kidnapped in Kandahar, Afghanistan took the Indian media to work on an extensive coverage of the whole scenario. The reporters paid their visit to her office and residence in Kandahar on their expedition towards gathering as much information about the lady who was a no one until the first Monday of December 2015.
