My name is Uzumaki Naruto, and I'm twelve years old. Twelve years ago, the Yondaime Hokage saved the village of Konoha by defeating not one, but two monstrous threats: the Nine-Tailed Fox and the Ten-Tailed Wolf. He was hailed as a hero, yet strangely, for as long as I can remember, the villagers have hated me.

Naruto at Six Years Old
They looked at me with eyes that burned like the sun, filled with nothing but scorn. Every word they said cut deep, as if I were some kind of monster. They didn't hide their disdain; their whispers, their glares—they all screamed the same thing: I didn't belong.
But I was only six years old. What could I have done to deserve such hatred?
I didn't understand. Not until Sarutobi-jiji sat me down one day and told me everything.
Three Months Later
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Come in," Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, called out from behind his desk, not looking up as he sorted through an endless pile of paperwork. The door creaked open, and Naruto entered the room with his usual energetic bounce. He was dressed in a simple black shirt with a red whirlpool emblem on the back, gray shorts, and black shinobi sandals.
The Hokage glanced up and smiled. "Naruto, I have someone I want you to meet."
Naruto tilted his head, curious. "Who is it, old man?"
Sarutobi stepped to the side, revealing another boy Naruto's age standing quietly by the window. The boy's appearance was striking—he wore a sleeveless black hoodie, the hood down to reveal spiky black hair that mirrored Naruto's in shape but not color. He had fingerless gloves, three swords strapped to his back, black shorts, and matching shinobi boots. But what caught Naruto's attention the most were the whisker-like markings on his cheeks.
Naruto blinked. "Who's that?"
The Hokage's expression turned serious. "Naruto, this is Menma Uzumaki... your older twin brother."
Naruto's jaw dropped. "M-my what?!"
The other boy stepped forward, a sly smirk on his face. "Hey, little brother. Name's Menma Uzumaki. Nice to finally meet you."
Naruto stared, stunned. "Oji-san, why haven't I met him before?!"
Sarutobi folded his hands on his desk and sighed. "You two were separated at birth for your own safety. Your father had many enemies, and we believed it was the only way to protect you."
Naruto's shock quickly turned into excitement. "Wait, for real? I have a brother?! That's so cool!" He paused, then frowned. "But... if he's my brother, does that mean he's a jinchūriki too?"
Menma's smirk widened. "You catch on quick. Yeah, I'm a jinchūriki like you, but I don't have the Nine-Tails." He tapped his chest. "I've got the Ten-Tailed Wolf sealed inside me."
Naruto's eyes widened. "The Ten-Tailed Wolf? No way! So, where have you been all this time? Who trained you?"
"I was raised in Tetsu no Kuni," Menma replied, crossing his arms. "Trained by a swordsman named Miyamoto Musashi. He taught me everything I know about fighting with blades." He gave a cocky grin. "I could probably take you down in one move."
"Oh yeah?" Naruto said, grinning back. "Well, I've been training with ANBU and Oji-san himself. Let's see what you've got sometime!"
Sarutobi chuckled at their banter. "You'll have plenty of chances to test each other's skills. Menma will be joining your class at the academy starting tomorrow."
Naruto's grin stretched from ear to ear. "Awesome! Let's go celebrate! You wanna visit Mom and Dad's graves with me?"
Menma's smirk softened. "Yeah... I'd like that."
At the Cemetery
Naruto and Menma walked through Konoha's cemetery, the air heavy with quiet reverence. As they approached a pair of graves marked with simple headstones, they spotted a man kneeling nearby. He had silver hair that defied gravity and a mask that covered most of his face.
The man glanced up, his visible eye softening as he saw them. "You must be Naruto and Menma," he said. "I've heard a lot about you two."
"And you must be Kakashi Hatake," Naruto said. "Oji-san told me you were Dad's student."
Kakashi stood, his hands tucked into his pockets. "That's right. Your father was an incredible man, one of the greatest shinobi I've ever known."
Naruto's gaze turned to the gravestones. "Tou-san... Kaa-san..." he whispered.
Menma stepped closer, his expression unreadable. "We'll make you proud," he murmured.
Kakashi watched them for a moment before speaking. "Your parents would be proud of you already. Keep working hard, and don't lose sight of who you are."
Naruto nodded, a determined glint in his eye. "Thanks, Kakashi-sensei. Come on, Menma—let's grab some ramen!"
The Next Day at the Academy
The classroom was loud with chatter as Iruka-sensei walked in, clipboard in hand. "Alright, class, settle down!" he called out. The noise gradually died down. "It's time for roll call. When I say your name, please respond."
He worked through the list until he reached a familiar name. "Uzumaki Naruto."
"Here!" Naruto shouted.
Before Iruka could move to the next name, a voice rang out from across the room. "Well, well, look who finally showed up." Everyone turned to see Sasuke Uchiha standing with a smug grin, cracking his knuckles.
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Oh, hey, Sasuke."
"Don't 'hey' me! You know what time it is, don't you?" Sasuke asked, his grin widening.
Naruto smirked. "Oh yeah. It's that time."
"What time?" a curious student whispered to Shikamaru.
Shikamaru sighed, already bored. "It's their daily spar. If Sasuke lands a hit on Naruto, Naruto has to do Sasuke's homework. If Naruto dodges, Sasuke has to buy him ramen."
"That doesn't sound so bad," another student said.
Choji, munching on chips, shook his head. "Not bad?! Do you know how much ramen Naruto eats? Sasuke's already lost ten times in a row, and each loss costs him a fortune!"
Sasuke lunged, aiming a punch at Naruto's face. But Naruto ducked with ease, spinning behind him in one fluid motion. Before Sasuke could react, Naruto delivered a light tap to his back, sending him stumbling forward.
"Looks like it's eleven in a row," Naruto said, laughing.
Kiba jumped up, pretending to hold a microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's another crushing defeat for Sasuke Uchiha! Will he ever recover?!"
"Shut up!" Sasuke snapped, glaring at both Naruto and Kiba.
Iruka shook his head, hiding a smile. "Alright, enough. We have a new student joining us today. Everyone, this is Menma Uzumaki."
Menma stepped forward, his calm confidence contrasting sharply with Naruto's usual energy. "Hey. Nice to meet you."
Naruto grinned, throwing an arm around his brother. "And in case anyone's wondering—yeah, he's my twin brother. Cool, huh?"
The class erupted in whispers, excitement buzzing in the air as the Uzumaki twins prepared to take the academy by storm.
