Jack shyly followed Mark out of their room. Everyone sat at the kitchen table. Nathan looked up and glared when the two walked in.

"Good morning!" Aunt Clarissa smiled and set two plates of breakfast on the counter.

"Morning." Mark flashed her a kind smile. He handed Jack his plate and walked off to the living room. Jack followed him shyly, looking around the house. "Hey, good morning." Mark said softly as he nudged Tannyr awake. She lay spread out across the entire couch, hair tangled everywhere and mouth hanging wide open.

"Mornin'." Tannyr groaned as she sat up. She moved over so Mark could sit beside her. Jack sat on Mark's other side. Mark's cousin, Aaron, had already been sitting on the other side of the couch playing video games on the TV across the room. Jack scooted closer to Mark, scared of distracting Aaron and making him upset.

Mark watched Aaron play, commenting on his horrible gaming skills through a mouthful of food. Jack stared down at his plate. It wasn't that the food wasn't good, he just felt so sick to his stomach that he couldn't even think about eating anything.

"Molly, Felix, and your dad flew home this morning." Mark told Jack.

"What? They're not staying?" Jack's voice shook. He tried to hide his reaction, but he felt absolutely terrified.

"It's Fourth of July; Molly and Felix went home to spend it with their families." Mark shrugged.

"What about my dad?" Jack asked.

"Well, I wanted you to get to know my family. I want you to spend time with them." Mark looked down at his lap.

"When did you plan this?" Jack sighed and sunk down in his seat.

"When I planned the trip..." Mark admitted.

"D-Did you know I was gonna propose?" Jack raised his eyebrows.

"No, but I knew one of us would someday, and..." Mark sighed. "I love my family. They need to know you." Mark looked at Jack with puppy eyes. Jack sighed and gave up; there was nothing he could do about it now.

He was stuck alone with these strangers for the next three days.

"Hey Mark!" McKenna hugged Mark from behind happily. "How are you guys this morning?" McKenna looked to Jack.

"Good, how about you?" Jack faked a smile.

"Good? You're just good? You literally proposed to 'the love of your life' last night." McKenna teased.

"It's a lot to comprehend right now. It'll catch up to me in a few hours and I'll start freaking out, just you wait." Jack laughed. McKenna walked around the couch and flopped on the recliner, right on top of Tannyr. Tannyr squealed and tried to shove her sister off, but McKenna laughed and stayed put.

"Are you okay? You haven't touched your food." Mark looked at Jack with soft eyes.

"I'm fine. I'm just a little sick to my stomach, I'm not really hungry right now." Jack gave Mark a reassuring smile.

"You're not even going to eat breakfast? I woke you up so you wouldn't miss it." Nathan groaned and rolled his eyes as he walked into the living room and squeezed himself uncomfortably between Jack and Aaron.

"We didn't exactly ask for a wake up call." Mark moved over so Jack could sit closer to him.

"Well, you're ungrateful." Nathan huffed.

"The least you could have done was knock." Jack muttered under his breath.

"What, did he walk in on you guys or something?" Jason sat on the floor in front of Aaron.
