One night a year, anyone who is 21 or older, who isn't in a relationship, will switch bodies with the person they are meant to be with. But they cant read, write, and its really difficult to leave clues for the person you've switched with. And everyone comes up with imaginative ways to lead those people to them.********[Ex: A man waking up in a girls body, pushes a lawnmower in a field, leaving an address, and the parents don't question anything because its ********{Shift night}******** so they stand by and watch as their 'daughter' tears up the field. When th girl wakes up, the boys favorite snacks are layed out, and a trail is laid to the silo, where from the top you can see the boys address.]********* but one girl, who wakes up the next morning with nothing changed around her house after shift night, is heart broken, not knowing if her soulmate is dead, unavailable, or nonexistent. And she falls into a severe depression from over thinking about her missing match. Then, next shift year comes along, and the girl is fearful of another dissapointing shift night, she goes to sleep late, and wakes up the next morning, to yet, another empty and unchanged house. This devistates her further, leading her to a life of substance abuse, and medical problems from not taking care of herself. This goes on for four years, until she commits suicide. Weeks pass, her body is found and buried, her family is wrecked, and she finds herself in a white box. Nothing but a smaller box in it. She checks out the box and finds a button with a text on it*********{Push this button to be freed. But it comes at a cost.}******** figuring she has nothing to lose she pushed the button and is instantly plunged into darkness as she falls for seemingly hours, hearing loud noises, and gurgles cries. Finally, she stops falling and lands in front of a man sitting in a large chair. This appatent government ruler, is named Kenneth, and he was meant to be the girls true love, and finds out the reason she didn't receive any clues as to who he was, is because instead of leaving any, which is tradition, Kenneth was setting up cameras, and has been watching her for years, since the first switch night. *********{Kenneth Achilles, signature is stabing peoples ankles}******** the girl runs away from this place shes being held, and meets a girl who's been 'trapped'. This girl quickly earns our characters trust, and the two run away together. Our girl {A} begins to fall for the girl from the facility {B}, and the two are chased out of their home, because in this society it is illegal to coose whom you fall in love with. It is all picked for you by the Switch night. The two run away, again, and end up being followed by Kenneth and his men. The two escape and set up camp in a forest setting, while {A} sleeps, {B} betrays her and stabs {A's} leg so she cant escape. It is then revealed that {B} wasnt trapped at all, she was set there so {A} would rescue her, and {B} could track {A} for Kenneth, who hired her. {A} is horrified, and kills {B} in an adrenaline rush. {A} cries herself to sleep, and decides to join {B} at the bottom of the river {A} threw the body into.
