He smiled a small smile as he looked back and fourth from his rearview mirror to her.
The young girl was smiling as she glided her fingers through the wind. She felt so carefree in the dark of the night. The top was rolled down and her curly brown hair was getting even more tangled than it already was. She didn't care, though, it was just her and her best friend out on the town. Nothing could ruin this overwhelming feeling she had in her heart.
He looked back over at her again and smiled as the car came to a lingering halt at a red light. His eyes held nothing put adoration for her, he knew he loved her and he knew it was foolish to fall for your best friend but he just couldn't help it. Her smile, laugh, and personality had him falling hard.
She felt a pair of eyes of her as she looked over at Tom. It felt like time froze as they stared into each other's eyes. Brown met hazel.
He smiled at her, and she smiled right back. They were happy in this moment.
