me and my birth mom exchanged numbers and are going out to lunch.
we are also going to the mall.
She wanted Joe to come, but he couldn't. Patrick wanted the guys at the studio today.
"y/n you don't need to make an impression on her. I bet you she loves you" Joe says
"babe, she's my mom. I have never met this women in my life. the woman I thought was my mom isn't.
"I understand y/n"
I exhale and say"help me get Ruby ready"
I put her in a light pink tutu and a black shirt that says"This is our culture"
I pull her hair into a high ponytail and go to finish my makeup.
I put on light pink lipstick and do a smokey eye.
I fix my army green dress and retie my combat boots, say goodbye to Joe and grab Ruby, and head out the door.
~At the Café~
"I'll have the garden salad" my mom says
"and I'll have the (Whatever you want)
and a Coke, and a kids meal with the chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese, with a water." I say
the food comes and we start talking.
"how long have you known Joseph?" my mom asks
"we met in 2003, and started dating In 2005, got married in 2012, and had this little monster in 2014" I say, tickling Ruby.
"what does Joe do for a living?"
"he's been in a band called "Fall Out Boy" since 2001. they did take a break, however in 2009, then got back together in 2013."
"he's in a band." she scoffs.
"yes, and this band is really successful" I say
"well I just don't think that he will be there in the long run." she says
"mom... he's been with me since 2005, he's not going to leave anytime soon" I say
"you never know. the band life on the road is tough for the families" she says
"if all you are going to do is bash my husband and my three best friends, then
I don't think we will get along. he means the world to me. he was there when my father died." I say
"sweetie I'm just trying to protect you" she says
we then hear the door open and four people walk in.
"oh hey y/n!" pat says walking towards me.
"mom this is Patrick, Pete and Andy." I say
"and whose the guy with a the curly hair?"
"that would be my husband joe" I say
"oh."
"oh and momma, I don't think I need you in my life. all you're gonna do is bash my husband, my life choices, and my three best friends, I don't think I need you. I don't need your negative energy rubbing off on my daughter, who loves these four men more than anything. and I do too." I say, grabbing Ruby, and walking out.
