Chapter 3 - Girlfriend?

I rush as I grab my phone and keys. I run out the door and close it. I lock the door and get into my car. I drive to Joe's place. I park outside and get out.

I knock on the door. It opens Joe had a white shirt and black pants. His hair was done as usual.

"Hey." He says pulling me into a hug

"Hi." I walk in and walk right. Caspar was in the living room.

"Hey Lucy."

"Hi." I sit down.

"You guys ready she'll be here in two minutes."

"Ok." Caspar stands up and turns off the TV.

"Um Caspar sit next to Lucy she just pulled up." Joe says nervous

"Ok calm down buddy she'll say yes." He sits next to me

"Oh and don't forget to hold her hand." Joe tells Caspar

"Ok ok." He grabs my hand.There was a knock on the door and Joe takes a deep breath and opens it.

"Hey Madd's." He says giving her a hug

"Hey Joe." She was wearing a black crop top with some high waisted jeans and some shoes.

"Hey I'm Lucy." I say standing up Caspar stood next to me and wraps his arm around my waist

"Hey."

"I'm Caspar."

"Hello Caspar." She smiles.

"Let's eat." Joe says rubbing his hands together. (A/N: I don't know if Joe has a dinning table. If he doesn't let's just pretend he does.)

We sit down. I was sitting across of Caspar and Joe was to my left.

"So how long have you been dating?" Maddie asks

"Um five months." I lie

"Awe you guys are a cute couple." Caspar grabs my hand from across the table

"I'm so lucky to have Lucy in my life." Caspar says and I couldn't help but smile.

"Awe I am too." I could see Joe in the corner of my eye glaring at Caspar.

"Joe how long have you and Lucy been friends?"

"Two years."

"Ohh nice." Joe brings the food and we dig in.

"Joe I didn't you could cook." Caspar jokes

"What? At the old flat I always did the cooking." Joe laughs.

We finish eating and we sit in the living room.

"Come with me." I whisper to Caspar. He nods and we stand up.

"We'll be right back." I say and we walk into Joe's guest room. We wait a couple minutes. I hear someone say, "Yes!" I smile and walk back. I see Maddie kissing Joe. I felt hurt but I couldn't understand why.

I try to smile. I smiled but it was fake. They break the kiss and Joe turns and sees us standing there.

"Um I really need to go." I say grabbing my bag. "Bye Caspar." I give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I walk to the door. "Bye Joe." I wave goodbye at him and walk out.

"Lucy wait!" I hear him call after me. I walk to my car and open the door.

"Lucy why didn't you say goodbye?"

"I did I waved."

"That's not how you always do it."

"Joe hugging you in front of your girlfriend?"

"What's wrong with that?"

"Nothing it doesn't matter I need to go."

"Bye."

"Mhmm." I close the door. I wait till he walks into his house till I drive away. I get to my house and park outside. I break down. Why was I crying?

I get out and walk to my door. I unlock the door and walk in. I put my things on the table and go up stairs. I walk into my room and close the door. I walk into my bathroom and wash my face. I brush my teeth and put my hair in a messy bun. I get into bed and fall asleep.

Three days later

It's been three days sense I've seen Joe. I haven't been bothered to text him because I know he's busy with his new girlfriend. He's sent a whole bunch of Snapchats of him and her playing with the filters, just laughing and them hanging out.

I felt so empty without him. Caspar is super busy and Zoe and Alfie are overwhelmed with work so I've just stayed home eating ice cream and watching Netflix. I've recorded videos so when I'm feeling sick or I don't feel like filming I have videos ready to go.

I go down stairs and walk to my fridge. I look in the freezer and I ran out of ice cream.

"Great now I have to go out of the house." I walk back up stairs and grab some joggers and a t-shirt. I put on my shoes and put my hair in a ponytail. I walk back down stairs and grab my bag. I walk to my car and get in. I drive to the nearest Tesco and park outside. I get out and walk to the shop. I walk in and go to the dairy area. I grab a little tub of ice cream and walk to get some crips. I grab some crips and go to check out. On my way I hear laughing and I know he that laugh anywhere. I look and see Maddie on Joe's back both laughing. A tear slips my eye and I wipe it away. I walk past them and don't look at them.

"Lucy!" I hear Joe say. I don't answer and keep on walking. I turn right and go to the vegetable area.

"Hey what's wrong?" I hear Joe ask grabbing my hand. I yank my hand away from him.

"What's wrong Lucy?" I turn around and look at him

"What's wrong me? What's wrong with you!?"

"What did I do!?"

"Ignore me for three days straight that's a great friend you are!"

"Why are you so upset!?"

"Joe we were super busy I didn't get to see you for a week then we hung out for two days and then you ignore me."

"We can catch up when we go to Coachella and Playlist."

"I don't want to go to fucking Coachella especially with you."

"But you said you would."

"I did it for you! Now you can take that bitch of yours." I say and walk off. I pay for my things and walk out. I get into my car and start crying. Then it hit me, the reason I was crying that night because my heart knew she was going to get in between us or maybe I like Joe but I can't he's just a friend.

I start the car. I knew it wasn't safe to drive like this but I just want to go home and eat my ice cream. I drive home and park outside. I get out and go into my house. I slam the door and put my crips away. I grab a spoon and sit in the living room. I watch movies while eating ice cream.
