Tis' the night of harvest
The night of reaping
The Moon's light will harness
Your time for weeping.

The night has fallen
The goddess is near
The maiden named Helen,
Her hands shook with fear.

"Mother! Father!
What ever shall I do?,
The goddess will come and take me away too!
I shall be one of the huntress
That forever roam the night
Seeking out for maidens
Spreading out fright!"

For her cries was sorrowful
And yet she was frightened
Her parents were dull,
And not so enlightened

"We do not know dear,
It is out of our power
And it is as you fear
You should hide in that tower."

The girl was so shocks by her parents reply
She was their daughter
She looked them in their eye.

"Do you not hear what I said
I will be taken away
And what would you do instead
Take me to the tower and stay?"

The maiden wept
But it was no use
She was being kept
Like a child amused

Her anger rage
And didn't dare speak
She was good at her range
A bow and arrows she seek

There she found at the corner of the house
Were it was guarded by a pack of white mouse

"If they will not act
I will defend my self
I will rather die than pact
Than to be a slave; to help.

The night was young
And the moon was not bright,
The bow was now strung
It just felt so right

So when the midnight came
And her awful parents was asleep
It was the same the darkness so deep.

She ones remembered the stories from the past
The lady in the moon from the centuries last
She gathers up maiden who would be the right choice
Not based from standard, nor gesture, nor poise

She gathers them up
To be her handmaiden
Like lightning she drop
From there home they were taken

Now back to reality
She can hear the wind hush
What kind of rarity
From deer in the skies rush

And in the chariot a lady was riding
Then Helen nocked her bow
While on the ground hiding
She couldn't see her......... but no!

" I still can see you my sister
Please come with me
We can conquer the bitter
I will let you see "

" no, please oh goddess
Please let me stay
My parents will be the saddest
To know that I'm away"

The goddess laugh
Because the girl was naive
She was filled with wrath
For she do not wish to leave

" are you blind you foolish girl!
I take from those who wants
Not just blessing or curse to hurl
Maidens I do not hunt"

The girl was frozen
Not from fear
But sadness attempt to shed a tear

It is all true
She wants to leave
Her parents now she chooses to deceive
She took the goddess outstretched hand
And somehow they form a magical bond

"Come now my huntress for we shall be away
Gathering maidens who do not want to stay
You will be lieutenant for you are brave
I shall spare you from the curse of grave
You will be immortal my blessings occur
Many young men will ye be adore
But as you heard from all my lore
Never defy me
My curse will be sore"

So they flee from that awful place
They went away until the day
Seek and seek and ye shall find
Call out to her and form your bind.

"O goddess Artemis, bearer of moon, protector of maidens
Hear me!"
