After school when Karma left the classroom, he spotted Y/N at the bottom of the stairs talking on the phone. Karma decided to eavesdrop so he quietly stood at the top of the stairs.

"I can't tell you anything because there's nothing to tell."
.....
"The teacher is teaching us normally and it's about the same as what we learn at the main academy."
...
"The teacher? Why do you want to know what he looks like?"
........
"He's..a normal human."
...
"His hair? Uh, it's black."
...

"His name is Karasuma-Sensei..."
... ...

"Don't call me that. It's bad enough that you're forcing me to do this."

Y/N hung up and then noticed Karma standing at the top of the stairs.
Her widened eyes followed Karma as he walked down the stairs.

"What are you doing?" Karma asked.

"N-Nothing I-"

"Who were you talking to?"

"S-Someone."

"And who is 'someone'?"

Y/N stared at Karma and gripped the handle of her schoolbag tightly." It's none of your business.." She muttered out loud and began to walk away, but she suddenly fell to the ground in pain.

He noticed Y/N was rubbing a bruise on her leg and wincing in pain.
"Are you okay?" Karma asked her.

"I'm fine." She tried to stand up but was once again pained to the ground.

Y/N sat still and Karma watched in silence. After a while, Y/N finally spoke.

"Why are you standing there? Don't you have to go home?"

"I can't leave a girl alone if she can't even walk." He answered.

"I'm fine, my leg is paralyzed or something that's all. I-It'll go away soon." She said, avoiding his stare.

After a long silence, Karma sighed and bent down with his back to her.

"What are you doing?" Y/N asked surprised.

"Well you can't sit there forever," Karma said as he gestured Y/N to get on his back. She hesitantly wrapped her arms around his neck as he lifted her, carrying her back into the building.

He placed her on top of the table at the teacher's lounge and took a few bandages and some medicine to treat the bruises and wounds.

"Whoever you were talking to before...." Karma said as he rubbed an ointment on her bruises and bandaged them."You can't tell them anything about Koro-Sensei. You know that."

"You don't even understand," Y/N muttered.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"You know you should really treat your wounds. Your wounds will get infected." Karma said putting some alcohol onto the scar on her face.

Y/N winced in pain. "It'll heal. Besides, I'll just keep getting more."

Reader's POV

Karma finished treating my wounds and cleaned up. "Let's see if you can still walk," he said taking my hand.

I slowly stood up and my leg felt better, and I could stand.

Karma carefully let go of my hand realizing I could stand on my own.

"Thank you, Karma-Kun.." It was my first time saying his name, and it felt weird.

Karma walked me home and when we got to the front of my house I thanked him again.

"Goodbye." I waved as he began to walk away. "See you tomorrow," he said.

I turned to face the door of my house. I sighed, preparing to brace for a loud scolding.

I walked through the door and took my shoes off. "I'm home," I say as my mother rushes towards me.

"Where have you been?!" My mother yelled and slapped me across the face.

"S-Sorry." I winced.

She slapped me again and pointed towards the kitchen. "Go wash the dishes. Because of you, I had to make my own dinner, do you know how busy I am already?!" she screeched.

"No dinner tonight, go to your room when you're done doing the chores."

I sucked all my anger up and went to the kitchen to wash dishes. When I finished washing the dishes my father ordered me to sweep the floor, vacuum it and clean up the living room.

I would rather stay at the orphanage than live in this place. When I was little they had treated me nicely, but when I grew to understand things they taught me how to do chores and cook. That was when I was 6. When I finally knew how they oddly started ordering me to do things like a servant.

When my parents finally went to sleep, I sneakily walked down the stairs and out the door.

No dinner tonight! My mother's voice echoed in my head.

I didn't care. I was going to eat. I went to the supermarket and bought some noodles.
While I was at the cashier paying for my ramen, I saw Karma walk in. "Oh, hi..," I said.

"Hey," he replied. I watched as he grabbed a couple of packs of ramen and paid for them. We walked out together and I asked why he was here so late at night.
"I wanted to buy some ramen. What are you doing?"

"Oh. I..didn't eat dinner tonight. So I came here to buy something to eat." I said.

"What? Why didn't you eat dinner?" He asked.

"My mother didn't make any for me, so I sneaked out."

"What kind of mother do you have?"Karma asked.

"Ah..she's not my real mother. I was adopted." I told him. "Wait why am I telling you this?!"

He smiled. "Is that not ok?"

"W-Well...I guess it's ok since you helped me. I have to return the favor sometime." I said. "What can I do to return the favor?"

"I haven't decided yet. But I will."
"Really? I actually thought you would say something like, 'Oh you don't have to do anything!' Or 'You don't need to return the favor, I'm OK with helping you.." I sighed.

"I'm not that kind of person. I don't do nice things for free." He smirked.

"Well, we're at your house again, "Karma said.
"Oh, thank you, for walking me home again," I said bowing in front of him.

"Then, Good Night." He waved and walked off. "Good Night," I replied.

I quietly walked back into the house and took out a cup of ramen, and pouring hot water into the cup. I then slowly walked up the stairs to my room with the ramen in my hands.
