After Alby was stung in the maze, we've needed a new runner to go with Minho and Thomas. I volunteered because I want to find a way out of this stupid glade. Thomas said he would teach me/ train me. Me and Thomas have always been close. When I first got here, I always felt a strong connection to him. Of course I would never tell him that, it might ruin our friendship.

"Hey, y/n." Thomas said brightly smiling, God his smile could make me melt.. "Hey, tommy." I smiled. "Ready for training today." He said wiggling his eyebrows. I laughed, "yeah. What do you have planned for today?" He stepped closer to me and looked down. "Well, we will start with a lap around the glade. Then go from there."

He picked me up my waist and spun me around. "Thomas!" I laughed, "put me down!" He laughed and put me down. "Okay, okay. Let's get going."

We stretched and got ready to run. "Tommy.." He looked my way and titled his head slightly. "Yeah?" I stuck my arms in the air, "help me up?" He laughed and pulled me up. When he pulled me I jumped and he caught me.

"Please put me down." I laughed. He looked in my eyes, "we've got to stop meeting like this." I giggled and put me back down.

A few days past. We trained some but mainly were messing around. My feelings for him were definitely growing. I found myself thinking of him a lot more often. Do I.. love him?

"Y/nnnn!" I heard a familiar voice as I woke up. Thomas was shaking me awake whispering my name to get me up. "Hey.. Hey come here I wanna show you something.." I opened one eye to see him. It was still kind of dark out side.

"Carry me. To tired. No walking for y/n." He chuckled and picked me up. He took me to our spot in the trees. "Okay, y/n. You gotta climb up here okay?" I nodded and he placed me down.

As we got to the top, he pulled me up to the little wood deck we built. "Now, if you look there the sun will rise in about ten minutes." He said in a soft voice. I laid my head on his shoulder and looked where he told me. He snaked his arms around me pulling me closer to him.

The sun began to rise and my eye lids were getting heavier by the minute. As I was drifting back into sleep I heard a quiet voice. "I love you, y/n."

"I love you too, tommy."

I woke up to find a sleeping Thomas by my side. His arms still held me in his grasp. I felt.. safe. I decided to wake him up. I started placing little kisses on his face. "Thomas." *kiss* "wake." *kiss* "up." *kiss* finally I placed a soft kiss on his lips. "Thomas, wake up." I said onto his lips.

Once he kissed back, he smiled at me. "Good morning, y/n/n." I began to get up, but he pulled me back down onto his chest. "Tommy, the gladers are probably wondering where we are. Plus, we have to train today remember. The whole, me becoming a runner thing."

"About that, let's take a day off. Stay here and enjoy the shade. Yeah?" I laid my head back onto his chest. "Okay."

We spent the whole day sitting in our spot. Talking. Cuddling. Sharing kisses. He looked at me with the purest look in his eyes. "Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled and kissed him.

"Is that a yes?" I nodded and laughed. "Good. Because if it wasn't I don't know what I'd do." I felt a blush creeping up on my cheeks. He leaned up against the tree and I laid in between his legs with my back on his torso. He played with my y/h/l y/h/c hair, as we spoke.

Talking about our future. How he's excited to show off that I'm his. How he's loved me for the longest time and how he's always thought I had a slight crush on him. "Y/n?"

"Yeah?" I leaned back to look at him. "Do you wanna uh- share a hammock with me? You know.. I wouldn't want you to get cold at night or for any of the other guys to try to sneak in with you or anything like that.." I smiled softly, "I'd love to."

He kissed the top of my head and continued to play with my hair.

It was almost sunset when we decided to go back down for dinner. "Where the bloody hell have you guys been all day?" Newt said, "we've been hiding from the world." Thomas said while holding my hand.

We ate our food and he pulled me close while everyone was talking and telling stories. Soon after it all ended we went to his hammock and climbed in. It wasn't long after I felt him cuddle next to me. "I love you, y/n/n." I smiled, "I love you, Thomas."
