How long will this last?

First date.

Liz's POV

I'm so nervous about this date I haven't been with anyone since Avan, I don't find it as easy as he has to just move on... Anyway I have a new motto it's out with the old and in with the new I'm excited to go out tonight and I fully intend to enjoy myself.

At exactly 8pm I hear a knock on the door I check one more time to see if I look ok then open the door.
"Hey a...Avan. What are you doing here?!?" I say shocked and angry
"Liz listen before you freak out I'm just giving you a ride Adams car has broke down and he didn't have time to call a cab" Avan says honestly
"Wow wait how do you know Adam?" I look at him more confused
"He's an old friend of mine." Avan states
"Wait did you set this up?" I say angrily
"No no I never why would I set my best friend up with my ex that's just awkward... Anyway come on he doesn't want you to be late lets go" he hurries me into his car and we go. I have to be honest when he called me his ex it hurt it really hurt.. Now the thought of going out with his best friend makes me sick ugh why do things always have to turn out awkward for me?!

Avan's POV

Well it's obvious that Liz is hating this, but I genuinely never meant for this to happen he doesn't know anyone else here I'm the only person he could call and I'm not gonna say no because it would make me look like the worst person ever!
