--Jason's Pov--

Something seemed off about Aria.

She didn't complain or say anything bad about the training. Even after I had asked Hunter and Alex to come up with a really tough training routine.

I have to admit it. She is strong. And not just physically. Emotionally and mentally.

She had been rejected by her first mate. And when you get rejected.............it hurts. It hurts really bad.

They say that some rejections are so bad that the wolf who is rejected can fall into a deep depression and some even die from it.

Her past mate had hurt her real bad and she was quiet and sad for a long time. And she had really loved him. But the thing is that after he rejected her, she didn't eat, move or speak for three months.

Her past mate was an Alpha from a different Pack. Her father was the Alpha of our Pack.

Then to make matters worse. They were attacked while on a walk. Her father had convinced her to leave her room and go on a walk with him and had invited Alexander to go with them. He did and when they were on their way back, that's when six rogue wolves had attacked.

Now rogue wolfs don't usually travel in groups. But they were attacked all the same. Aria was not strong enough to fight them and ended up getting hurt. Her arms and chest had cuts on them and she was knocked unconscious.

Her father and Alex had fought them and won. But one of the rogues had killed Aria's father. More were on their way and Alex knew he couldn't fight them.

So he had picked up Aria and ran like hell all the way to the pack's hospital. He had sent me a message via a mind link and me, Noah, Caleb, Alec, and Hunter went out and defeated the rogues.

We had returned to the hospital and when I saw Aria in the hospital bed. I knew that she'd have to be the Alpha. Since her father was now dead.

She had woken three days later and was devastated when she learned her father was now dead. And let's just say that she hadn't spoken or eaten much or left her room for months.

But she did come around and started to train with us and within days she became our top fighter. She just started to smile last month.

Though the smiles were forced or they were fake. I haven't seen her smile for real. I guess all of Caleb's efforts had finally paid off. at least a little bit.

Caleb and Alex are trying to get her to laugh. But haven't really gotten nowhere.

"Hey Jason."

I looked up and I saw Hunter walk up to me.

"Hey Hunter. What's up?" I asked.

He shrugged and said "Not much. Just checking in with you before Alex and I do patrol."

I gave a nod and said "Alright. I'll see ya later."

He nodded and walked off. I decided to head on to my home.

Once there I grabbed the mail and I went up to my office. I sat at my desk and sorted through the mail. It wasn't anything of importance.

But there was one letter with the Moon Pack's stamp on it. It must be from Tim. He was the Alpha of the Moon Pack.

I opened the letter and sure enough, it was Tim. In his letter he said that he was coming over to talk about the rogue problem. He had said that there was just about five or six of them passing through and causing trouble. He said he'd be here in a couple of days.

I put the letter down and I sent a mind link to Aria. I told her to meet me at our meeting place. It was a small little house and it is where I meet to discuss important Pack things with her.

"Ok. I'm on my way." She responded.

I got into my black car and I stepped on the gas and sped off to our meeting place.

Aria's Pov

I was on my way home. But I got a message from Jace.

"Hey Aria, can you meet me at our meeting place? I have something to talk to you about." I heard him say.

I sighed and I responded back saying that I'd be there in a minute.

I got there just as he did and I climbed out.

We went inside and I sat down on a couch. Our meeting place was like a small apartment. There was a spare room in case someone needed to spend the night there. It also had a living room, kitchen and an office.

Jason sat down on a chair and he said "I got word from Tim."

I raised an eyebrow and I said "Oh? What did he say?"

"That there is a rogue problem and he is coming here in a couple of days." He said.

I sighed and I nodded.

I stood and I said "I better get home and rest."

Jason nodded and he said "I should as well."

I gave a nod and turned and left.

As soon as I got home, I went up to my room.

I got into my bed and I took my father's necklace off and put it in it's box and set it on my nightstand.

I laid down and I fell asleep right away.

-----------------------------Four days later-----------------------------------

Beep

Beep

Beep

Beep

I groan and I move my hand, not caring as to where it might land and hoped I'd hit the alarm clock.

I did and ended up knocking it off of my nightstand. I groaned and I got up and I slipped my feet off of my bed and on to the floor.

I bent over and I picked up my alarm clock and put it back onto my nightstand.

I rub my tired eyes and I stood and made my way to my walk in closet. I grabbed a black shirt and jeans and a brown jacket. We weren't training today so I didn't get into my black shorts and grey tank top.

I slipped on some black shoes and walked out of my door.

I got to the meeting place and I saw a white car there next to Jason's black car.

I frowned and parked my red car and walked into the office. Tim and Jason were there. Along with Hayden. Who is Tim's Beta. They had their backs to me and when I entered the room, they all looked at me.

Their eyes were serious and worried.

Uh oh.
